I know UT has dominated this series historically. I also know prior to the 2006 season LSU had beat UT 5 times in history. So your lucky UT had its worse stretch in history since 2007 or LSU may not have the 10 wins they have against UT in school history. Also LSU once lost 12 in a row before beating UT.
All time Record 20-10-3. I’ll let you figure out who has the most wins.

Whatever you need to hang your hat on
Because the vols have been garbage for the last couple of decades. So who has the most recent nattys?

Let's us get through the first half of the schedule before we worry about the vols

On the other hand, you have a program that has won 3 national championships and maintained success over the last two decades. However, in the last two seasons have shown possible signs of a decline and hired their 5th option of head coach. (Not here to debate this, I know all of you before the coaching search would have said "hell no" if someone suggested getting BK)
Will be a trend setting game for both teams. With the talent difference between the two programs, if Tennessee fans want to actually look at the Vols as a national player then they in their up-swing have to be able to beat a team like LSU on a down-swing. Because if not now, when ever? Genuinely think it will be a great game matchup wise and can't wait to be there for it!
Wrong again you fn fly by 'tard. How are those Pruitt $ bag sanctions looking? Ask my UT alum buddy how many UT/LSU games we have attended through the years and how many losses UT has piled up. I still remember the W JaMarcus put up at UT and the monsoon rain game there, good times. The Dooley loss at LSU was a thing of beauty at the end, T-Bobbbb with the snap bailing out dumb arse Miles!

Bama plays a&m the same day.there's a good chance they play at 2:30 & lsu/tenn is a night game

A&m and bammers play the same day.we may get the lsu/tenn at night

I think LSU will win 6 games this season
That will be better than last season

I don' t think people talk enough about the importance of the Tennessee vs. LSU game... I would assume both teams come into the game undefeated (but the Vols have let me down before against Pitt & Florida). But lets assume it's undefeated against undefeated.
You have one program who for the better half of two decades has been poverty stricken and now has an opportunity to win a game that in years past they would have never even had a chance in. It is a chance to show the program is turning around.
On the other hand, you have a program that has won 3 national championships and maintained success over the last two decades. However, in the last two seasons have shown possible signs of a decline
Agreed.

Correct again.

Most of your post if fantasy, but this part is correct. This is your best shot while we're rebuilding.
Make no mistake, very few programs have the forward momentum LSU has right now. In 3 years, 2020-20201 will be a distant memory.

Looks like it’s been dominated historically by 1 team. Aside from the last 5 games Tennessee had dominated the series up till 2006.
So you're saying that aside from a hurricane game, LSU has been beating the absolute dog pussy out of Tennessee.
Cool.

Kelly was not the 5th option.. few believed he would even consider leaving Notre Dame. LSU needed an adult. After 15 years of talented but flawed buffoons.
For a school with 18 level one allegations in an NCAA letter. Any/all the good players will be transferring
I do gree it will be a tough game

This is total bullshite. He was on my big gets board right behind Riley. There are always going to fans disappointed with any hire, but the majority of LSU fans were very happy to land such an established and experienced coach.

So what happened the last two times the programs met with a title on the line? How many SEC and national titles Has LSU won since your last? Keep leaning on that history, because it’s all you have now.

BK’s name wasn’t being thrown around early on & was always close to the vest due to his tenure & rep at ND.
BK is a top 5 coach, NO ARGUMENT on that, his only knack is winning the big games.
But at ND, his talent disparity in the big games was not in his favor (ie. Playing Bama & the likes in playoff & championship games etc).
At ND, it’s impossible to stack a roster like he can at LSU or any top tier SEC program for that matter.
He was mostly outmatched and unable to run the type of schemes that he will be able to run here @ LSU.
Now, he will have to overcome his Achilles heal of winning big games.
He has assembled a Stellar Coaching Staff, he has brought a very Professional mindset to the locker room and the overall program & the players seem to be buying in.
Although, I’m a former high school defensive coach for one of the top La. Schools/programs in the state, so I’m always following LSU’s defensive schemes and coaching philosophies very closely (& I’m very happy with the Defensive coaching staff from what I’m seeing & hearing)
BUT I AM MOST EXCITED to finally see an offense that utilizes TE’s & RB’s in the passing game, and to finally have some consistent QB Development.
Outside of our 2019 Team aka “THE Best Team in College Football History” with Joe Burrow & John Brady/Off Coordinator, we have had dismal offensive schemes and QB coaching, especially throughout Les Miles tenure, we won with Defense for so many years, but I think we will start seeing more offensive consistency with BK.
I’m a big proponent of TE’s in the game-plan consistently, from a defensive coaching standpoint, we used to hate preparing for teams that utilize TE’s, it is a DC’s nightmare. and BK is known for TE play in his offense, but that may take another season to fully develop to max potential.
I’m happy to see this new coaching staff & I think it should be a good game, but I will say this, our DEFENSE should be lights out this year!
Our DL is top 1-2-3 in the country, LB’ers will be solid & we have some very good proven DB transfers to give us some depth.
It will come down to QB & O-Line play, if those guys stay healthy and we have a QB emerge, it could be a LONNNG day for the Vols, just saying.
And even if we aren’t stellar in that category, our Defense should make every game a battle!

Not a bad post except for the BK fifth choice part… Pathetic. The wtf had to do with no one thought we had a chance to get that caliber of a coach.
If there were a coach fantasy draft today BK would be …… well ….. you know.
