I'm sure this has already been gone over time and again but...

What happened to all the talk about ramping up the LSU offense? LF isn't the problem, and he can't play QB and RB. I was seriously disappointed in the loss Saturday. WTH is Miles doing over there?

You couldn't take 30 seconds to read any topic of this entire board?
We lost to a bad team and looked as bad as ever doing it.
Might as well be 1999. If I was a fan of anyone but LSU I would have prayed for LSU to squeak that one out. Les just equals more wins for you guys

That is what most Tigers fans feel! I don't think it will change as long as Les is still here. Every year is wait til next year!

Miles was very, very popular among LSU fans, and even had a decent following among other SEC fans, hell across the country. It appears he got, or was always very hard headed. CMR was too, but there were other issues too. It's a tough job, HC in college football, especially in the SEC. He better turn it around fast, or he will be gone for sure. Good luck.

He won't. He's gone. 7-5 baby!

quote:Execution was poor, playcalling was not really that bad.
What happened to all the talk about ramping up the LSU offense?
Evidence:
Fournette at tailback, Guice in the slot. Ran Guice on a jet sweep. Excellent concept. Result: Guice fumbled.
Screen pass to Fournette against a stacked d-line, with 2 O-linemen out in front. Excellent idea. Result: both linemen missed their blocks (basically vs the same defender), play snuffed out.
Harris throws 2 consecutive passes to Malachi Dupre, both of which were beyond the 1st down line. Both passes were high but Dupre got both hands on each pass; he was facing man coverage from a cornerback 6 inches shorter than him. And remember, Dupre was a 5 star WR, the top WR prospect in his class. Good idea, nice passes that the corner was unable to knock down. In other words- the ball was where you want it to be. Result: Dupre doesn't catch either, we punt.
Harris lines up with around a minute left in the game, we're just outside FG range, Fournette on the bench due to a hard hit to his leg. Pass called, a good idea since your star back is out, and you want to save as much time as possible to get the ball at least inside the 30 for a decent kick attempt.
Result: Wisconsin player comes completely unblocked, and Harris makes a nice athletic move to avoid getting sacked for a big loss; problem is after he spins away, he is rattled and blindly fires the pass... somewhere. Gets picked off and seals the loss.
There are other examples- calls that weren't bad, but execution wasn't good. Things that might be cleaned up, but that you were unable to get away with vs a solid opponent (and let's be honest, Wisconsin at Lambeau isn't the same as random Sunbelt team at Tiger Stadium).
