I feel sorry for Les and his family, but it had to happen. The excitement in the LSU fan base is palpable again. It hasn't been that way in a long, long time.

Me too. Prior to the news I told my wife Im apathetic to LSU football and dont really care if I watch or not. Now Im all about it

Les and his family are gonna be just fine. If firing Les meant that his family would have to worry about how they are going to eat and keep a roof over their heads then I would feel sorry for them too. Big time coaches expect to get fired at some point and they get compensated very well for their services.

IMO opinion that is why they pulled the trigger so quickly, otherwise the stadium would probably be 3/4 full and the booing would have started with the first 3 and out. The optics would have been very ugly.

There will be many people show up now to support the team and there will be NO booing regardless of the outcome.
