I’ve come to the sad conclusion, after numerous times this topic has come up, that only age and maturity will change some people’s’ minds. It IS vulgar, it IS embarrassing to the university (only reinforces the dumb redneck stereotype many outside of LA have of us), my 5 and 8 year old grandchildren have NOT seen or heard worse on the internet, and LSU football games SHOULD be appropriate for people of all ages to attend. I’m not personally offended, but it infuriates me that people have so little regard for others. My biggest regret is that I won’t live long enough to see how some of you feel when you want to bring your own kids to Tiger Stadium, but you can’t because it’s not an appropriate place for children. You will say that’s BS, but believe me, you’ll see it differently then. Now downvote away.

Will not be long before student section is replaced by TAF donor seating...money talks and STTDB walks right out of Tiger Stadium...to the quad to watch it on a big screen...

Please don’t fuel up at a gas station that serves “those people”, they’ll hear far worse.

My kid is 19 and has experienced vulgarity at LSU games. Guess what? Never had a problem and is still a good kid.

Based on some of these responses, I’m envisioning 18 year olds and 50 something’s alike, reacting like a flat bill wearing Eminem wanna be, protecting you’re “lawn” or right to scream STTDB, regardless of how ridiculous you look in your windsuit and flat bill

I feel like the chant kind of ruins the song

Don’t remember that when I was in school when the song played

I’m tired of everyone being offended by everything and wanting others to change because they’re offended.

You have two choices: go to the games and listen to college kids be college kids or stay home.

shite thread...

hear ya.

I'm not offended by it, but it is embarrassing for our University.

Song can stay, chant should go.

Same here. It’s very trashy.

If your kids are true fans, they’ll end up screaming it regardless. It’s inevitable.

I’m 33. I also think it’s vulgar and immature, but you can bet your arse as was screaming it on Nov. 9th in Tuscaloosa. Me and my friends even made the STTDB sign written in French. It’s a chant. It’s college football. They’ll get it once they get older.

y’all are some pathetic parents. My god.

The shite your kids are going to get into when they get outside of your little controlled bubble is going to be wild.

OK, the thought about not taking your kids to an LSU game if you wouldn’t take them to an R rated movie is just dumb.

Let kids be kids, keep your trashy song to yourself, and let’s gather around LSU football and cheer for the Tigers and leave out the nonsense

The team loves it. The fans love it. If you can’t handle it, don’t attend the games. It’s that simple.
