Same. I can’t wait to see stunts and blitzes. It’s been way too long.

If we can’t get a pass rush without blitzing, it’s going to be a long day

the most notable players on Bo's defenses (that I've watched) have been disruptive DTs. Kyle Williams and Wroten, then Dorsey, then Suh at Nebraska. O has been known to coach up some guys along those lines as well. really curious to see if we can get those kinda guys going now.

You might be disappointed. Bo did that at LSU before the rule relaxation that allows tackles to hold edge rushers. They just don’t call that anymore, and tackles are mugging guys like Chaisson. Saahdiq Charles and Deculus were holding on most passing plays last season, too.

After today, hopefully people will stop pretending that Aranda was good. Bo’s defense can be dominant!

We're playing Mike Leach. Don't expect much, they get the ball out extremely quick every snap. Tons of tunnel screens as well.

I hope we get a pass rush and hat i'm wrong. But have to contest the passes and tackle well.

I really miss his head hunter type of defense! His defense is what the SEC is all about.

Aranda, except for the first half of last season, has been good but what made it good was his ability to make in game adjustments and shut teams down.

Bo’s defense is just a full speed straight up hit you in the mouth from the first snap.

For real. There were times last year where that bend but don't break could have costed us a game or two if we didn't have the greatest offense of all time. When you have an incredible offense you want more possessions than your opponent. An aggressive defense gives the offense more possessions in a game, while allowing a similar number of points from bug plays. LSU was gonna outscore any team in the country if they had more possessions in the game.

Luckily our back 7 is the best group of guys in the country. When we don't hit home with our lineman, our backfield will force checkdowns and coverage sacks all game. When drives become 10+ plays your likelihood to score lots of points dies.

Washington, who dominated Leach at Wazzu, played zone most of the game and got pressure with 3-4. Hardly exciting but I think that’s how you slow them down. Keep them in front and play for picks/coverage sacks.

this exactly, this will be a one-and-done defensive look from Bo, we wont see todays defense again all year.

And this is actually good news, it gives us 2 new LSU defenses to watch. add that to the new/old? offense and 2020 is god damn fascinating.

Im euphoric right now, I did not think we were gonna have CFB this year, today is the best day in a while.
