I'm going to put aside my perpetual anger with Peveto and the fact Les Miles gave a guy in his wedding, who's been terminated from his last 4 jobs, the keys to our offense. Now that those two notes are put aside...

First off, kudos to Kevin Steele and the assistants for putting together what I thought was a nicely called game. We all knew going into this season Chavis and Brisket Brick left us with a painfully thin front 7, and Kiffin came with a gameplan to exploit that. Control the clock and wear us out by the 4th. Our offense just couldn't do anything to give us a breather and chance to regroup, and that was obvious by the mid 3rd. But hats off to a guy who's taken a lot of figurative punches from the media and fans. He is clearly a good asset.

Also, there are sometimes just games where teams won't be denied. We saw LSU do it to Va Tech in 2007, UGA 2003, etc. I am honestly okay with saying the better team won Saturday. They're much more veteran and frankly I am a little surprised how easy it is to forget we were hoping for a 10-3/11-2 season with such a young squad. And wow, that was my fifth trip to Alabama, and that was by far the loudest I've ever heard it. It's impossible to ignore our sophomore led team might have gotten a little shaken up from that atmosphere and stage

We can still far exceed our preseason expectations and have a season for the books. I too once again walked out of Bryant-Denny in disbelief that our offensive gameplan was that, but I'm not going to sit back and ignore how promising the future is. I think we all felt the 1/9/12 hangover could and maybe should have ended this past saturday

I just don't want the fans and players to mail it in with so much left on the table. We have so much phenomenal young talent on the roster and in the process of signing our best class on paper ever. It's the ultimate nightmare situation where the winningest program with the best coach and the most obnoxious fans in America just happen to be in the same damn division is us, but it's important to look at the big picture and see we are a top 10 program that is SO close to even a dynasty with a strong 2015 finish, then of course 2016 and 17.

I believe in this team. I just wish we would use the offensive skill players a tad better.

Nick Saban had his team very well prepared and they fought with their backs against the wall. They had to win that game to stay alive in the playoff race and LSU still fought extremely hard to stay in it. There's nothing else to say about that game. It's time to handle our business against the next three opponents and stay alive.

Believe me, me too. I just felt like we all knew the ONE thing LSU couldn't do against Alabama is think as incredible Fournette is, we could line up in the I with 4 freshmen in our OL rotation and run it down their throats.

I'm not suggesting throwing the I out the window, just don't run it so much against Alabama of all schools on the planet. Just humor me with a more creative approach getting it in Forunette and Guice's hands

We did pass the ball to get the score close, but when Harris threw that INT, I knew Les would go conservative. Moreau was wide open in the flat, so I'm not sure how BH missed that throw.

11-2 is about all I hope for with Miles.

The one year we exceeded those expectations was 2011 when we had dominating defense and an offense that made us want to jump off cliffs even after wins.

11-2 would be fantastic this year.

With luck, somewhere down the road a 2 loss LSU team will qualify for the playoffs. It could happen again.

Exactly. I want to implode thinking we won't get revenge against them for another 363 days, but for now it's just time to put in the past and close strong.

Any of these people bickering about how stupid Miles is surely didn't expect a possible 11-1 season, right?

I have friends from UA and can tell you confidently that Arkansas thinks we are their biggest rival. they are going to be fired up, and we just need to regroup even as fans fast so the valley will be loud as hell Saturday.

I really hope they're fired up after being shut out last year. The team played well against Auburn who blew them out so there shouldn't be a let down.

I get your anger, but I'm not going to sit here and act like that 2011 offense was just absolutely loaded. I thought we moved the ball just fine with Jarrett lee and a group of good, not GREAT backs. Plus Stud was coaching our line, fml.

Sometimes I just feel like 2008 Lee's pic six palooza forever screwed with Miles' head. We were balanced up until that season, and afterwards it's never been the same.

He has to come to terms that something has to give with our offense. This is cam cameron's fault too. I have a friend from baltimore who warned me about Cameron. I should have put more stock into his assessment of him.

Arkansas is also very good at stopping the run. i hope them shutting fournette down serves as motivation, but I also hope it's not overblown and we pass it around some.

Rob Smith is flat out a good DC. We can't repeat that last gameplan or the swine will bring that ugly trophy back to Arkansas

I agree with everything, except I'm a little iffy with Steele and our defensive backs.

they lined up and tried running it out of the shotgun. Lf got stuffed. Nothing LSU tried worked. Twice Lf was wide open and harris missed him. With Bama able to control the clock you dont get a lot of plays, got to make the ones called count.

No anger. Mild depression perhaps.

Yup. This is probably true.

It will be interesting to see how long Miles can maintain our current level of winning. The recruiting is maintaining/improving but there's no guarantee that will continue to be the case.

Miles is 61 now (doesn't look a day over 50 mind you). Try to picture 5 years from now. 10 years from now.

I'm on the fence with what's wrong with our secondary.

We really haven't had White and Mills 100% on the field at the same time. Then we have Paris who is very good but could have won the damn Thorpe if he'd just caught so many easy pics throughout the season. Then you've got true freshmen thrown out on the field in Tolliver and Jackson. Thompson is finally healthy. Then I'm just a little skeptical of how good Jefferson even is.

Steele should shoulder some of the blame, but I don't think he is the underlying problem at all.

That's kind of where I revert back to those certain games where a team won't be denied. I just felt like our attempt at creativity was too little, too late.

Saban knew we were going to try and run it down their throats in hopes of being gassed by the 4th, and they were more than ready for it.

On the plus side, despite being thoroughly manhandled we only lost by 14 points.

That's about as positive as I could muster.

We just aren't forcing ANY turnovers back there.
