I’ve been one of his most ardent supporters from the beginning wanting continuity and stability was the main reason. But last night was the most obvious display of his inability to pull this whole thing together. I can only hope Woodward has intelligence, patience and the connections to finally get it right.

I’ve been “off the O train” since the McNeese game. Even though I was never really on it. He deserved his opportunity to right the ship and he’s failed at it.

I was a supporter too. I gave him a pass for 2020 & after the UCLA loss. I thought the coordinators needed time to grow into the role, which I believe Darante Jones has.. but I’m ready for coach O to be gone. Has to not only rely on his coordinators, but has rely on ex coaches to give him names of who to hire. He can’t do it on his own. Even Coach Ensminger told O to hire Brady

Imagine if O never inherited Aranda and Ensminger.

His actual hires have been really bad.

He has gotten better since the UCLA game but he is still shite. Absolutely refuses to blitz. Can't make adjustments. It's not just him it is the entire staff. No adjustments on either side of the ball. LSU jumps out to a lead then the other team comes back and wins. It's absolutely painful to watch because outside of the oline this team has the talent to be great. They just need the coaching.

He doesn’t appear to have answers to the problems - basic problems like your offense is burning through your time outs for example.

O was able to ride 2019 to the top with a slogan and some fortune (Aranda retained and Coach E meeting and recommending Brady). Busch helped bring Burrow. We know the story…But O cannot build anything or maintain success. He has shown some success to take a situation where expectations are low as an interim and have some success. It takes a special coaching leader to build for years of sustained success. O is a short term rally the troops guy who gets you ready for the next guy

Fair point but I actually put that on Peetz & the offense. Called one run play the final two drives. You have to be able to run the ball & kill clock. The defense forces two late 3 & outs. They did their job to win the game. And they did blitz late.. Baskerville came untouched up the middle but Nix made them pay.

O made bad hired. Ensminger wasn’t one of them. He promoted Ensminger to OC. Some of people don’t know anything about what you are talking about.

As the face of the program he did a pretty good job. The media loved him. His personality endeared him with most fans and did a good job recruiting. But like any business, if you don’t have competent department heads your probably going to fail. And he did. It just didn’t work out.

. Notice also how he has to work hard to get new hires. The top choices that dont aspire to be head coaches immediately want to work under a HC they can grow under to get to that level. They obviously dont see that with O. Thats tells us what we need to know. Top head coaches have quick coordinator replacements because people want to play for them.

When you start seeing the same things that plagued the end of the Miles era, you know it's going in the wrong direction. Terrible use of timeouts, conservative play calls, seriously questionable rotating of personnel, etc.
