other than 2013 with Mett, Beckham and Landry (not to mention Hill), our offense has generally been anemic as hell and the last two years under Miles it was pathetic. les and cam couldn't even get the plays in on time.

we have lots of talent on O, just need some experience. and, we have a senior QB that can manage a game.

AND, we (nor our opponent) will be able to tell what play we are getting ready to run nor who is supposed to get the ball the majority of the time.

it's gonna be exciting y'all!

that offense was good. no doubt. but total yardage wise we were only 6th in the SEC!

Actually, our offense was pretty good once Orgeron took over and Ensminger started calling plays, with the exception of the Bama game.

LSU Offense SEC Rank:

2016 - 10th
2015 - 6th
2014 - 13th
2013 - 6th
2012 - 8th
2011 - 2nd
2010 - 9th

What do you think 2017 ranking will be?

it's going to be nice watching the offense and not knowing what is about to happen.

I'm 100% certain that if they suck, they'll suck in an entirely new way. That's enough for now.

I'd say 4th to 6th

Hoping it will be number 1 though. Wishful thinking.

Crazy to think that the 2013 & 2015 offenses ended-up with the same conference ranking. 2013 was a virtual air show by our standards, and 2015 was anemic.

that offense was "anemic as hell" too on 1st and 2nd downs. Well, not so much anemic as hamstrung.

I hope you are right but I'm a firm believer in it all starts up front and it ain't looking too good up front right now. Going injury free on the line this year just isn't that realistic, it always seems like someone is dinged up on the line.

The line will be thin but we'll see a much muuuuch improved offense. A creative mind like Canada and freak athletes all over the field is going to some fun to watch.

we aren't that bad up front and will improve as the year progresses. yes, injuries can derail that; so can an injury to etling or guice. but who can forecast that?

I think as long as it isn't our tackles who get injured then we should be ok. The tackles start getting injured and we better have some good walk on's. Especially left tackle. Let's hope that it doesn't happen but then again we could be surprised. Who knows but I'm ready for some damn offense to be "offensive". If we can put up 70 points then let's do it.

I look for 260-280 points by Fla game. 70(+) against Chattanooga and Syracuse. Pitt tut 76 on the orange last year and the tiger "o" has more talent than Pitt had. Plus Troy and MSU.
