re: I'll admit it: I wouldn't be as upset if it weren't for Bama's success

why not? are you like most and only look at RESULTS instead of looking at PERFORMANCES as well?
If miles were getting the performances, gameday coaching, player management, player development and on the field discipline everybody would be much more upbeat and positive. But we are not and we are in year 9.

Anyone who can't admit this is a liar or in denial.
They are not worth having a conversation with.
To many, being in a division with the team that has won 3 of the last 4 championships and our biggest competition for recruits makes it seem like the sky is falling every time something goes against us. Especially since it seems like that program gets all the breaks and has every advantage.
For every LSU fan whining about Miles being guaranteed two losses a year (don't worry about 2011), Saban is guaranteed 1 as well. But his teams always get the benefit of the doubt.
Chip Kelly always had a loss or two. Stoops 2 or 3. Richt 3 or 4. Spurrier 2 or 3. Sumlin 2 apparently.
But Miles is a buffoon because LSU is just so amazing any decent coach would be undefeated every year.
Except Saban, he was good for 3 or 4 every year. But he left Miles the best program in the country that Miles ran down to a two loss program???
Think that sums it up

The results are definitely a HUGE part but to anyone who watches games and knows jack shite about football can see we desperately lack in many areas of PERFORMANCE.
PERFORMANCE WILL CORRELATE with RESULTS as in CHAMPIONSHIPS if stuck with and adhered to.

Saban's teams don't shite the bed against Ole Miss and fricking Arkanasas. He has kicked Miles arse on the field 4-6 and is doing it on the recruiting trail also. That is why our defense sucks and Bama's is well Bama's.

Correct...they shite them against LSU , Auburn and A&M

Meh, most wouldn't consider losing by a point or two to an equal opponent as "shitting the bed"
But hey bro, wtf ever makes you feel better.

Yeah, well one of these things is not like the other:
Ole Miss 2013 3-3 unranked.
aTm 2012 2 loss top 15 team.
Ole Miss 2013 3-3 unranked.
aTm 2012 2 loss top 15 team.

That Auburn team went undefeated and the other two weren't bad. Ole Miss was just a bad loss. It happens, I just didn't expect to be out of the hunt for the west this early.

Surely you mean only at Bama??? Because Saban's LSU teams struggled like hell against both of those programs. Nothing wrong with struggling with two rivals that always get up for those games, though imo.

He's 4-3 against Miles actually. 3-3 if it wasn't for The Rematch.

It's not trending up

I don't think it's trending down this is pretty much par for the course for les miles . He is no Saban never will be ..
That's the truth of it, but fans cannot accept it! Les will always bring in talent, but he will never achieve near perfection, that Saban seems to reach. Saban will chew out his players in the last minute of the game if he sees them slip up, Miles is almost, like, well 'better next time'. Miles backed into one championship, and had another in his grasp, but didn't prepare his team, whereas Saban had his defense ready and Miles seemed to play right into it, and that is why we have 1, not 2 championships under Miles.

Saban has a total 2 losses to unranked teams while at Alabama and they both came in 2007, his first season, both towards the end when the Shula trash seniors had mailed it in.
In the past 5 1/2 seasons Saban has lost a total of 7 games.
3 of those were to top 2 teams
2 were to top 10 teams
2 were to top 15 teams
His average record over those 5.5 seasons is 12.36 - 1.2 a year.
Miles BEST season at LSU was 13-1, so Saban has basically put up Miles best season 5 years in a row.

08,09,BCSNC, 12 that equals 4 out of the last six contest that were played. Trend = down. Decline on free fall and all that shite. By the way I despise Saban and the gumps.

Miles is 55-5 against unranked teams in almost 9 seasons.
Ole Miss was first loss to an unranked team since 2008, when trash team was just trash.
Saban is having a great run at Bama. It would be foolish for anyone to deny that. He's also played an easier schedule and had very fortunate breaks the past two years to get into NCGs after his great teams lost at home in November.
That's not a knock on him or what that program has accomplished. But pretending Saban willed those teams to perfection through sheer force of his "process" is sheepishly regurgitating what ESPN is selling.
Miles is on a run second to one. Anyone that argues with that is equally as foolish as those that would try to sell Saban's accomplishments short.

Way to cherry pick to show your "decline".
Why not the last 4, when we're 2-2??
What if we win this year? Decline over?
Decline in Bama?
