Would you start Valak for 3 innings and pitching by committee for the rest of the game vs. Tennessee to save Lange for Florida?
Or
Start Lange vs. Tennessee?
It is a single elimination tournament.
Or

Well, we started Lange against Tennessee last time and won 2-1 after he threw 121 pitches.
How about this strategy: we do as you suggested, lose to Tennessee, and go home early.

I did not suggest anything. There were two strategies presented. The fact that I mentioned the single elimination tournament suggests the risk involved.

OK, then I'd choose Lange...as would any manager. If it was double-elimination it would be different.

Pitching Lange on Tuesday would make him available for 5-6 innings on Saturday or Sunday if we make it that far.

Pitch him Tuesday all out and then let him rest until regionals. after Tuesday it is a double elimination format and Poche has proven he can pitch against Florida. If you make it to the weekend everybody is going to be low on pitching so you just work with what is left.

I'd pitch him Tuesday. Winning the sec tournament won't do much to help imo. Win one game and solidify hosting
