Which is why he has almost assuredly thanked Coach Les Miles for doing just that.

I'm pretty sure he's not thankful to the Legions of self-appointed Internet Nannies who have tried to make a momentary lapse in judgment into a national debate about the quality of his character. But nannies gonna nanny. Every time.

I had to turn off the post game show. Hanagriff and Risher were busy pounding their chests about how perfect they were and gathering people to go stone Fournette. I did not like the pose, but get a life. It was not the worst thing done by a LSU player that day, much less the history of the Tigers. I am so tired of people getting on a radio and telling me how great they are and how they never made a mistake, blah, blah, blah

Of course we have Fournette's back; he's a Tiger. Is there anyone here who doesn't?

That's funny.

<-----isn't suspected of not having LF's back.

Oh, and have an upvote there, Mr. OP Positiger.

What he did was was foolish and juvenile. Even Kenny Hilliard, his own teammate, said about it, that you have to be humble.

Hilliard said he told him to go for it when LF told him what he intended to do. Hilliard said LF is humble. Get your story straight.

I'm in. They need to save him for the second half this year(just this year). Let Williams and Hillard pound the rock the first half. Wear them down and put LF and TM in in the second. They know he is going to get the ball and key on him, but are too tired to take the beating from him and TM.

most awesome freshmen running backs either get too bulked up in the weight room and become too slow or get too involved with white women and become too slow.

is it possible that Fournette will actually get faster as time goes own because we all know that previous freshmen running backs usually get slower

The truth is that if LF exploded as the season went on and won the Heisman, the media would change their angle and talk about how from his first home game, he called it out and they would be busy rebuilding the legend they tried to create before his first college snap. It's the nature of the media.

He did it, it was silly considering the opponent and how early in the season it is, but it's basically an insignificant moment in the grand scheme of things. He opened himself up to criticism by doing that, but it wasn't anything that caused any major harm to anyone (other than harming his reputation for being humble). He'll have plenty of chances to regain that reputation.

agree..
and yes, his move was PREMATURE and shows more "I" than "team".
It is just not what an unproven FRESHMAN does....needs to wait until he has earned it some.

..he will learn, he is young.
Hopefully, he will one day win it for real
