If he can keep up this pace and the team wins out, he should get consideration, especially if he torches bama. It would include late season wins over bama and A&M.

There are more elite College football players than I can remember. Especially at the QB position.

i dont see how he wouldnt be in the convo anyway if he keeps playing like he is....keep in mind rg3 had 3 loses and won it...its how you play now not really how well the team does....any lose we have will not be the offenses fault

for us to win out, he'd have beaten
so yes, he does...

Mariota is the only problem..but if LSU ends up ranked ahead of Oregon, yes as well.

Murray
Manzeil
AJ MacCarron

He'll start making those heisman watch lists if he dismantles Florida and Ole Miss en route to leading us to a victory over Bama

I think if he throws for 3500 yards and 30 TDs he might be invited, but even that is not likely in my opinion. There will be too many other players with similar stats and those other guys had their hype machines running full bore before the season even began.

You have to remember that the Heisman is more about perception and hype than being the best player in the nation. As much as i would love for him to win it he would have to put up numbers that would make it impossible for them not to give it to them for that to happen.

it's gonna be hard to win the Heisman this year if you are not in the n.c.g. in my opinion.

He'll be in VERY serious consideration (in NYC) if the following things happen:

-Mett keeps up current pace
-LSU wins out and wins SECCG
-Has "Heisman Moments" in wins over A&M and Bama

Yep. I usually don't wear a tinfoil hat but ESPN won't start talking up any of our guys until we clear the Bama hurdle. They don't want to eat crow if we lose that game and his or Odell's chances drop considerably.

Uh, yea. If LSU wins the SEC at 12-1 and he has 4500 yards, 39 TDs and 5 Ints he probably will win the Heisman

Why aren't they talking about him and OBJ and Landry for the Heisman. You can throw in Hill as well.
