Do not see that happening either.. But Bama could also lose prior to SECCG...

Let's say the BCS CG is Florida/Alabama vs. Texas. If either Florida or Bama has just one loss, then the one-loss team will play the Sugar Bowl. What we also have to consider is what to do with Teams such as Boise and TCU, who are currently both undefeated and without an automatic BCS bid. I think that if either Florida or Bama manages to fall below LSU in the polls, then I think the SEC may have to settle with just sending one team if TCU and Boise win out.

True. The Sugar might not want to take a struggling Bama (ends their season with 2 late losses) that went there just last year. You do realize, though, that where they are in the polls doesn't really matter (as long as both are eligible). Maybe the Sugar uses it as a factor, but it's not like just because they're behind LSU, they can't be chosen over LSU.

It was 2000 and Miami beat Florida State 27-24 that year, but don't let facts get in the way of your revisionist history, unless you'd care to argue that losing by 3 on the road is an arse kicking.

some people don't understand the concept of "only 2" teams from the conference in BCS...it's probably the same folks that think we can borrow money to spend our way out of the deficit...some kinda weird math

actually no, those were in the early 90's, then a wide lift in 02 i think. The 2000 game was just close. Because both had 1 loss and Miami beat FSU, but FSU went to the BCS CG, and people hate the BCS, it gets repeated the Miami kicked their arse, when in reality, they did not, it was close game at Miami. FSU played a tougher schedule, so FSU went to the CG.

Highly doubtful. Florida and Alabama will be in the BCS. We will probably be CAP ONE.

There's only one way a conference can get 3 teams into the BCS, and it is virtually impossible to EVER happen.

Anyone saying its not possible is an IDIOT.

Kansas did it in 2007 after they lost to Missouri. Missouri went to the BIG 12 championship and lost.

Missouri, the Big 12 RUNNER UP, went to the Cotton Bowl.

Kansas, the #3 team in the Big 12, went to the ORANGE BOWL.

AGAIN. those who say its not possible...are IDIOTS.

Look at the 07 season. Tennessee beat Georgia and then lost to LSU in the SEC Championship game. LSU went to the NC game and Georgia, not Tennessee, went to the Sugar bowl.
Also, the Big 12 BCS automatic bid is up for grabs if Texas wins out.

for real? UGA had 2 reg season losses. Tenn had 3.

If the loser of the SEC championship game has only 1 loss, they will undoubtedly go to a BCS game.

Nobody's saying that LSU can't go to a BCS game, if they win out and Bama loses one prior to the SECCG.

People are saying it's impossible for LSU to go as a 3rd SEC team, because it's against the rules (i.e. UF goes to the BCSCG, Bama goes to the Sugar, LSU CAN NOT be chosen for any remainder BCS bowl).

Ok prick so I got the final outcome mixed up. Sorry to offend you.

The point still stands. Getting in over a team that beat you with the same record is still doable.

that's true, except Kansas was 11-1, after losing the Big 12 CG. Mizzo was 11-2. so they took the team with the better record. LSU will at best have the same record as the loser of the SEC CG.
