Yes, a bunch of one loss teams with a claim is everyone's nightmare. Maybe LSU will bail them out.
The issue is that Bama is stuck behind LSU. And there is no scenario left that would justify moving Bama ahead of LSU. It's like we're attached at the waist. How would it look having two SEC teams in the BSCCG with neither being the champion.
They didn't drop Bama down enough when we beat them.

i like your answer but it seems that this subject has not really been covered with any detail. we lose to uga and we are just one of the remaining 1 loss teams. if vatech and osu wins they will have later wins to our later loss. seems to me it is possible that we may need the voters to pull us out and send us to the ship because the friggin dawgs will get the sugar bowl.

Not likely, but there's a small chance. If we lose, all the polls and computers start moving around, who knows what might pop up. On paper, LSU is a lock. Nobody even argues otherwise. But it isn't done by popular vote.

Truth. Unless all of LSU's regular starters get stuck in an elevator before the game and UGA steamrolls us, it could look pretty bad. But hopefully no more elevators break down.

Actually, & I certainly don't want this, but if UGA wins I think it could impact Bama's chances. Pretty sure LSU would still be in NC based on everything I have read & seen. But how could voters then justify sending two SEC West teams to NC, neither of whom are a conference champ & 1 of whom didn't even win its division, over say a Big 12 champ OSU or an ACC champ Va Tech. The non-SEC conferences would revolt. If UGA wins, may increases chance of a LSU v. OSU/Tech NC game.
