If we get 1/2 the improvement at QB as we've seen on D

We would be almost unstoppable.

Hope Cam can work some magic during the bye week.

It' not going to come with Jennings at QB, he just severely handicaps the offense.

It's not going to happen with AJ. The gameplan for the rest of the season is clear ... defense and run the ball.

The turnovers are hat concerns me most.

We can win with 50% completions and 150yards, but we can't count on winning at -3 in turnovers again.

Yes I hope Cam does work on it because we have to be able to throw the ball better against Bama!! Bama secondary is there weakness on D!! Not saying we can't run it but it wont be as easy as OM!!

Just imho - Should have stuck with Harris. Kid got thrown to the wolves in THE game that AU wanted for payback. Then stuck to the bench. Mop up against KY after a 30+ point lead. Come on.
And the handling of the QB situation over the Miles tenure is a constant achilles.
Would hate to see it happen but I would not blame Harris for leaving. See no upside long term in Jennings. Harris has big upside. Not saying we need to run and gun offense but the passing game is a detriment once again this year.
As long as we win - who cares? last night was incredible (except for the 4 turnovers and dropped interceptions).

It's going to take a while because LSU is trying to fit square pegs in round holes. LSU wants to run a pro-style offense where the QB takes the snap from under center and is in the pocket on most passing plays. Yet, both of Harris and Jennings were guys who took I would imagine over 75% of their HS snaps from the shotgun and in an offense that incorporated a lot of quick throws and timing routes. It's much, much easier to read defenses and find your receivers taking the snap 7 yards deep. It's much tougher to see things from under center and to get comfortable enough passing from the pocket where there is so much traffic around the QB. That's why both Jennings and Harris appear to be more comfortable rolling out than standing in the pocket. It was clear in the AU that Harris isn't comfortable enough to step up to avoid the outside rush at all.

The "spread" is a relatively simple offense. That's why you see so many HS teams run it these days. What LSU wants to do is very tough on an inexperienced QB. I suspect to compensate they are only asking both Harris and Jennings to look at 1 or 2 receivers. You can tell that both guys have decent vision though when the pocket collapses and they are forced to take their eyes away from down field for a moment. Each has made plays in the passing game improvising on the run.

Long story short, regardless of the guy, it's going to take a while for them to get comfortable in LSU's offense.

I believe Harris will get his chance next season. He needs to improve on taking snaps from under center. When that happens, our offense will become more balanced.
