've read articles and stats before that made the claim that binge drinkings and fights actually go down when alcohol is sold in stadium
oliver luck was a genious when he made it legal with WVU. binge drinking #'s dropped drastically.

Not going to happen as long as SEC rules forbid it.

I attend (and drink beer at) the ULL games. I haven't seen 1 fight since they started selling beer.

How much do you think fights in the stadium would increase? I'm thinning it would probably triple.
You are dumb as frick
People get even more drunk before going into the stadium knowing they cant get any alcohol once they walk in the gate. That or sneak in hard stuff.
So dumb

We need a sticky'd thread for a month during the offseason to debunk this myth.
Idk how but that rumor spread like wildfire

When we played WVU overthere, the LSU side sold out of beer before the 2nd half. I don't think there would be an increase in fights, because the fights typically get held to the student section and upper decks.
I feel the problem would be the already slow concessions grinding to a halt because 3 cashiers are waiting for one tap to be open. The line for the bathroom would be long all game long, forcing people to invent spots to pee. Those would be the problems it would cause.
I agree with whoever said 1 re-entry. That definitely needs to happen. Other schools do it. They just stamp your ticket when you leave and you can come back in. Then you get a different stamp when you get back in so you can't repeat.

As other common sense posters have pointed out, fights will not increase and will most likly go down.
Notice the lack of fights in Houston this weekend where beer will be sold or at bowl games.
Of course with a game in Baton Rouge, more trash is going to the game, but they will either binge drink before the game or sneak it in anyway.
There is drinking allowed at several college games throughout the year at various venues and I'm sure it's not really an issue.
One day the extremely religous people will lose their power and the SEC schools will slowly start allowing beer sales.
Already beer in the club and suites. Only a matter of time for the rest.

I have sat everywhere in Tiger Stadium (Upper Decks, Student Section, End Zones, 50 yard Line) and I don't remember ever seeing a fight. A few tailgating.
