this board will be knighting for Walker Howard from the get-go. At least until Hurley arrives on campus.

I am already knighting for Walker Howard!

I haven’t been this excited over a QB since Burrow and Perrilloux.

Not saying there weren’t some
calling for the backup, but I truly don’t remember anyone saying Burrow should be benched. Not even a single thread. And I live on Tigerdroppings.

I remember people being super excited Burrow knew how to audible.

True, unless he lights it up. Most of the TD posters want to see an aesthetically pleasing passing game over a winning game plan.

If we have a aesthetic passing game, it’s pretty certain, that winning will follow…..especially if the defense does their job.

Wow. I find that surprising, but I guess you have the evidence to support this claim.

JD has some decent games on the middle, but the defense bailed his arse out against State, Auburn, and arky. You act like it was all JD.

He will have earned it, on the practice fields, in the meeting room, and in Coach Kelly's eyes.

I am good with that.

agreed - TD is my home page - start here every morning - end here every night.

anything about benching burrow totally escaped my attention.

Ever since the "3rd and 17" situation in the Texas game, I never saw an negative comment here (certainly not that I recall)

wtf??

I want a well played game at all positions. And the QB has to be the starting point for that - a lousy gb won't win against tough competition regardless of the rest of the talent. And a great qb won't win with inferior talent.

What I don't like to see are games where the qb is the one reining in the capacity of the rest of the team to do their best. JD is not a passer. Today's game (much to my displeasure) is a passing game. (yes - I come from the days of 3 yds/cloud of dust)

I dont understand all the strategies in the modern passing game - but I can tell the difference between a great pass, a good pass and a piss poor pass. I have seen very few great passes from JD. I have seen a shite-ton of piss poor passes. He has made some good passes, but only a half dozen 'great' passes all season.

I saw 5 great passes from Nuss last Saturday.

Give me Nuss - JD has had several years as a starter and has not earned another 'learning year'

Nuss has earned that.

Myles had earned it too.

First half '18 season grumbling when there were some WR drops and timing issues, sorta like '22.
Similarly, I fear the O will need to carry LSU to victory early next year while the depleted D finds it's footing.
