IF LSU runs the table...

Yes, this is my first ever post. Yes, I am prepared for the insults and humiliation headed my way for asking a question. Yes, I have been lurking on TD since 2006 during my sophomore year at LSU. Yes, I know how this works so I will do my best to use proper grammar.
Okay, now that I have that out of the way let me say that I have been a Les Miles supporter ever since we hired him... up until the debacle last Saturday. I do think it's time for Miles to go, but I think we should wait it out to see if we can bounce back. It's only been one game. Yes, I know we SHOULD HAVE beaten Wisconsin. I know we are the much more talented team. But it's not like we lost to a FCS opponent. Wisconsin is not a terrible team, not great either, but certainly not bad. These young guys went into historic Lambeau Field for the first major college football game played there. A lot of those Wisconsin players grew up as Packers fans. You could just see so much more desire and heart in their players as opposed to ours. We were not ready to play that game. Our OL got manhandled all day. Our receivers dropped a plethora of passes. Harris looked very uncomfortable all day. I think our defense played well outside of some missed tackles and broken coverage, but let's remember we are in a new defensive scheme and I fully expect our defense to just get better and better throughout the season.
It starts with our offensive line. If our OL improves and Harris can relax inside the pocket, then we can open up the passing game and take some pressure off of Fournette. We would be able to spread out the defenses and not be so one-dimensional.
So here's my hypothetical question: If we improve each and every week, mix up the offensive play calling, and run the table (that's a big IF, I know) including winning the SEC championship and making it to the playoffs, do you still think Miles needs to go? Do you still think Cameron at least would need to go?
I think Cameron needs to go regardless of what happens the rest of the way. And if we lose 2-3 more games then Miles definitely needs to go. I just know the majority of you on here (including myself) think we need to get rid of Miles so I'm just wondering what the mentality would be like around here if we somehow win the SEC.

If you're looking for a discussion, you've come to the wrong place.

If if were a skiff, I'd go for a boat ride.

Yes. Even if we win the national championship this year, I still want a different head coach next year. Because if your hypothetical plays out, I bet my mortgage it will be despite CLM's coaching, not because of it.

This is an original topic that hasn't been discussed on this board yet. Thanks for sharing.

If I see Jenifer Love Hewitt on the street today and she wants to hook up, but I don't have a condom do I do it? I don't want a kid right now, but Jen Love is high on my list.
point being I don't think either scenario is likely enough to engage in a discussion about.

Some classic TD responses that I was expecting. I love this place.

IF we win the SEC, we will make the playoff and that would gather the support to retain him. If not, he's a gone pecan.

While the chances of this happening are prolly 1-2% I think people would change there tune. It's a long season and after beating the big 3 in November people will start to forget the Wisky game. With that being said its not going to happen and the offense still needs a huge revamping, which unfortunately will require staff change because Les or Cam or both are obviously incapable of making that change.

The question was posed at the end of last season after the epic mulligan handed to him after the Aggie game, What does Miles have to do to win you back. My answer was, win the SEC and a playoff game, I stopped short of a NC. Today my answer is still the same. But we know after all the preseason hype, that really nothing has changed. So if Les can pull off running the table, I will personally kiss his bare arse on the 50 yard line on national TV.

correct...and thats why he needs to go... we have won just despite him for years now.. players have a love/hate relationship with him, i get told this all the time by former players and their parents... they love him as a person but hate him as a football coach and his offenses..

It HAS NOT BEEN ONE GAME. That is the whole problem! Didn't you say you're been lurking on this board for 6 years. Haven't you been watching LSU football during that time?! What we saw against Wisconsin is the same putrid Miles offense we've seen for years, despite assurances to the contrary. Did you not notice that?
