If Les leaves, will he be as beloved as Nick C'est Bon?

will there be people longing for miles 5 years after he leaves the program like many do with Saban?

will Miles have to take over another SEC program and dominate from year 2 on in order to garner that love?

If he would do the honorable thing and resign now so that he will still be a viable candidate for Michigan next year, yes. Absolutely.

But if he drags this team through what look to me like losses against North Carolina, Auburn, Alabama, Florida, Ole Miss and either MSU or Arkansas next year. No way.

After that he will ruin his reputation her and the possibility of being hired at Michigan.

Seriously?

Hell, I guess we at least get to split MSU and Ark.

Possibly...depends on what a new coach were to accomplish.

I am of the belief that Nicky would have continued to do well at LSU and recruited just as well as Miles has done...possibly won a NC in 2006 and 2007. Or, he could have dropped some games he shouldn't have. I just remember those games were pretty fun to watch. These games are not nearly as exciting.

Depends on what happens after he's gone, sort like McClendon or RC at A&M.

What if C'est Bon would have stayed and LSu would have gotten Michael Oher and Colt McCoy.

Nick Saban brought LSU into the new age, but created a monster in the process. The SEC has turned into an arms race that no one in the country can compete with. And then we beat the snot out of each other all season long with the winner going to the NC. That is what I see in the formidable future of our conference/division. LSU is lucky we got our 2 titles quick in the arms buildup, because now 9-3 still has you on the hot seat.

Yeah, it is, but still...I think we will be a much better team next year and should mop the floor with them.

Would never have happened.

Nick would have gotten Perriloux just like Miles did

Which is different than PREDICTING those losses a year out.

It's silliness, you have to admit.

We COULD go 14-0 next year and never hear from SFP again.

I have noticed that the Miles bashers have an amazing ability to see into the future.

Why do people think we will be better next year?

The DL will be decimated next year with hardly any depth.

I don't see how the OL is going to improve dramatically.

I'm not being negative. A part of me, the part that has been burned many times before, wants LSU to hire Greg Davis, or Malzahn or some magic genius who will finally, finally utilize all the skill position talent on this team.

But even if that happened...

MSU, Arkansas, and especially UT are just going to get better.
