Meyer was off the table in November, Sumlin was off December,

Mike Gundy did finish 9-4, 11-2 and 12-1 in the last 3 years with the top 3 scoring offense and total offense during that span. We had just had a Chavis team that finished #2 in scoring defense and total defense that year, and was top 10 in scoring defense and total defense the year before. Had we gotten Gundy and kept Chavis, LSU would probably have a national championship in 2012, and at least have won another SEC title in 2013.

I don't understand why people wouldn't want Gundy as he knows exactly how to run a great offense and has coached a Power 5 program for 12 years with 4 double digit winning seasons the past 7 years. He's also done it with middle of the pack recruiting. The same QB that Cam wanted (Rudolph), he took. In a 2 QB system last year he put up 3770 yards completing 62.3% of his passes averaging 8.9 ypa with 21 TDs to 9 ints.

ETA, Chip Kelly, Bret Beliema, Chris Petersen, Gary Patterson, Art Briles, Mike Dantonio were also available (well available in that they were top coaches on top teams in college).

Spurrier had his bags packed. A destination change was in order from Columbia to Baton Rouge.

Gary Patterson would have been the main target.

I'm guessing you are saying this because he is NOT the flavor of the month ( herman) or your boyfriend ( Fisher). He runs the type of offense everyone on this board seems to crave. So I don't get it. He can recruit, he KNOWS offenses. His teams offensively are solid. He and Aranda would make a very interesting combination. Both think outside the box.

NO, I never said anything Fisher or Herman, that is the rest of these threads.

I simply said GUNDY is a fricktard. I said that because HE IS A frickTARD.

He was at Boise then but his son has health concerns and was receiving treatment in Boise. I think Washington was attractive to him because it wasn't THAT far away and top notch healthcare access was available in Seattle region.
