The more important question is why would the 3rd best coach in the country go to Houston? Les is the greatest coach to ever wear the purple and gold and nobody but Saban and Meyer are even close to as good and he's going to Houston? That's impossible there are too many other elite teams that are probly beating down his door to hire him. And what about the NFL I'm sure he could get a job there too instead of Houston. That's a job for an up and commer or a below avg coach not the third best coach in college fb.

It won't affect lsu recruiting in texas at all. We recruit a different caliber of athlete than houston. Just look at the recruits they sign compared to ours.

past is not prologue

Les may do better than was done before. If he gets a couple of 4 stars every year, and those 8 guys all make it. he can complete with half of P5.

You look at Maryland and Rutgers most years no five stars, one or two 4 stars.

Hey Please read the entire thread before copy cat posting. And what 4 or 5 star recruit wants to play in the shite conference Houston is in over any Power 5 conference.

Who made you the fricking board police, shithead?

And claiming a four star recruit would NEVER play at Houston only shows your dumbassery, since Herman recruited Ed Oliver, a five star.

Do you take Stupid Pills or does it just come naturally?

If Les Miles goes to Houston, do we get Bum Phillips?

How big does that affect our recruiting efforts in Texas? A

Zilch, Les is a great recruiter as long as he has those three important letters - LSU - on his clothing and the best stadium and facilities in college football.

He is a dime a dozen at any other program, see OSU results prior to having the LSU assets at his disposal.

outside of a few possible exceptions LSU and Houston do not compete for the same players.

Also, If Les were to go there .. his headache would be Herman at Texas.

UT becoming relevant again is a much bigger threat to our Texas recruiting.

They should've hired Les.
