If JL takes the snaps, I don't see the offense relying on his legs as a bailout. Does anyone think we see anything different?

Please forgive me if this has already been spoken about, but there are so many threads about JJ, I wasnt going to through all of them

The gameplan will most definitely change. But it is likely that the actual gameplan has not even been implemented yet.

Well, I'd imagine it'd change pretty significantly.

i have to disagree, respectfully. I would think its been in progress since practice started. I would think the coaching staff has been working with the team for a while on this.

I wonder if its going to make the offense as a whole lose a step, which judging by last year....sucks

Yep. Timing could be worse, but still, it's pretty bad timing. At the very least, the coaches have been working on it. It was to be installed starting tomorrow.

I would think they'd throw out the option plays and add more bubble screens. That seems to be what happened last year when Lee was in the game.

If I see Lee run the read option against Oregon, I'll turn the TV off.

They were supposed to start working on Oregon tomorrow.

I understand its officially game week prep, but you don't think they worked with JJ on the gameplan at all?

They've definitely been working on Oregon's "pace".

The success of a read option has little to do with how fast the QB is.

The qb has to be a viable option to run the ball or it sucks.

Oh really? So, you're telling me that Lee runs for an 83 yard TD against Tennessee last year too? GTFO.

Exactly, otherwise it's just a handoff because our slow QB isn't going to run the ball ever.

For you guys, absolutely. But LSU isn't dependent on the play at all. At Oregon it's actually an option, but for LSU it would be more of a hand off where Lee could keep the ball if necessary.
