I would recommend he goes pro. However, the money will be there next year and more of it. If he comes back he will work extra hard for the decision he made and being a year older he will be that much better. He could go top 3 with an awesome year.

As far as an injury, I am sure he will take an insurance policy for $5-10M and be set regardless. The odds of injury are slim and he wants to set a legacy for himself and if he comes back I and many others will admire him for that.

However, Beckwith came back and got injured late in the year which was a shame, but only a small bump in the road as he will be fine in 2-3 years with a new contract to fit his talents but he still has to work hard to get there

I can't believe this is such a hard concept for y'all. Maybe Jamal loves college (hell I did), his family is well off and Jamal knows the NFL isn't going anywhere. Why not give it one more year. With our safety depth and lack there of at LBer, Aranda may use him like Michigan used Peppers. Jamal can play any position on defense outside of the Dline.

I love how some of you jackasses would be mad if an All American safety came back for one more year. Bitch and moan about players leaving early and now throw a fit about them staying.

His dad being an NFLer he might not have the same delusions of grandeur about it. His dad was a running back in the late 80s. I am sure they beat his body up. With CTE's and his family being comfortable his dream might not be giving up his body to the NFL long term.

Obviously the smart play money wise is NFL, but who knows what his mind set is on this. I wish him luck whatever he does. Was definitely a favorite of mine.

+1. However, I would respect him as much as any other athlete in the HISTORY of LSU football for making that decision. It would prove to me that money isn't everything to this young man and that he loves LSU and college football! Props to him and his family upbringing. We'll see......

Do you think Shaq was an idiot for coming back for his sophomore year? What about his junior year? Tim Duncan stayed 4 years? Idiot? Let them live their lives. I doubt that Adams comes back but if he does, awesome! I'm sure he will have a nice insurance policy in place.

Are you comparing the NBA to the NFL? Its not even close physically.

Although here lately the gap has gotten smaller.

And to the OP, Adams has worked hard for 3 years here at LSU and been fun to watch. No bitching from this guy when he goes pro

I don't even want Jamal back. I'm just not that selfish. Dude projected to be the highest safety drafted in 10 years.

I would be excited for LSU and him.
If HE chooses to come back, then HE made the best decision for HIMSELF. How can anyone judge him for choosing his own life?
Anyone calling him an idiot is retarded.
There is life after football. Some decide to prepare for it prior to making that leap. Can't hate on that.

No way he does. He needs to take his interests into account.

Its not like he is the first player ever to be a early round selection that decides he wants to go back to school with the goal of winning a national championship or Heisman Trophy. For example,Peyton Manning made the same decision.
