Is anyone else worried that the 2 defenses he started against were having extremely bad seasons? I want him to be the starter but we are making this guy seem like an all American and he honestly hasn’t started against a good defense yet.

2020 play, IMO, is about 10% of the decision.
Capacity to execute the 2021 offense will be 90% of it.

The defenses Max went up against are no worse that the very depleted Missouri defense Myles went up against and loss. Get out of here!

You are a damn liar! You don't want Max to be the starter, which is why you started this shitty thread.

We didn’t lose Missouri fame due to offense.

Ole Miss’s defense says hold my beer.

The defense Brenna put up 430 yards and 4 TDs against?

Running stats in games

Missouri: TDP, Emery, and Curry. Combined for 51 yds total averaging 2.5 ypc

Ole Miss: Tre Bradford and Josh Williams combined for 108 yards, averaging 5 ypc.

Florida: TDP and Curry combined for 119yds averaging 4.76 ypc

It's hard to compare because Missouri was depleted(mainly across their DL, which only makes those stats look worse), but in the year end rankings Missouri finished with the 66th best defense, UF 83rd, and Ole Miss finished 126th. There are only 127 teams...

And you clearly don't want Myles to be the starter. Why are you getting made at other posters for being "bias" when you are clearly also bias?

It will be Max and expect Myles to transfer to Baylor.

I’m not totally impressed with either tbh. Myles has very low pocket presence and max isn’t the greatest passer to really spread the ball out like Peetz probably wants to. Should be interesting to see which direction the staff goes with.

Sure but it’s not like the 3 Brennan faces were elite (Miss St was the best of the bunch)

We were an average offense last year. We sucked against decent defense and put up numbers in shifty ones.

We need to improve the run game and get more creative in the passing game.

So Florida didn't have a good defense?

Brennan
-State 52nd
-Missouri 66th
-Vandy 121st

Johnson
-UF 83rd
-Ole Miss 126th

Not giving an opinion one way or the other. Just the final rankings of the defenses last year.

And just for comparison, LSU's was 124th

So 1st and goal on the one yard line had nothing to do with the offense

I agree, it’s what we want to do now that will matter most.

Brennan played against State, Vandy, and Missouri… and went 1-2

It had everything to due with the offense, but little to do with Myles. So can we quit acting like that had nothing to do with the OL and everything to do with the QB who was playing with a season ending injury?

I mean the OL couldn't get a push against Missouri's third string, resulting in TDP getting stuffed twice and Myles getting stuffed once.

But finally on the one run play that wasn't called, they called at roll out pass play for a QB with a torn abdomen.

Meanwhile the coaches have the 6'6 260 pound QB, who is the perfect QB to have in to run the sneak, just sitting on the bench.

Of course not. Neither did the inability to make a play on 3rd down and convert the entire damn afternoon.

We lost because Myles couldn't get it done when the game was on the line. Stop making silly excuses for Myles's failures.
