I would be fired on the spot. BK doesn't get a pass. He can make all the bullshite excuses he wants. You can't keep saying the same shite for poor coaching and your answer is .. we golly we der her we well we just got to get better!

100 million for this? For this!?! Holy shite.

Your job isn’t managing 80+ 18-22 years olds

Aside from not giving Nuss any reps, not much he can say.

I mean it’s kind of ridiculous to suggest firing coaches so easily… but you raise a great point about accountability.

Kelly answers to Woodward who doesn’t know much more about coaching football than me or you. So to justify a buyout he’s gonna need a few bad W-L records because far as I’m concerned that’s all most ADs have to go on, unless they’ve played every sport there is at a high level.

Your options for what he could say were either to take the blame or throw players under the bus. The fact that you’re pissed at him shows he made the right decision. What do you expect him to do? Put up the playbook on a projector screen with game footage and show what went wrong?

Coach speak of “it’s on me and we have to get better” is a cowardly explanation.

He knows he’s not getting shitcanned. Although we looked slightly better than the Auburn game with the passing.

Bet your job doesn't deal with the human element of working with/coaching human beings and bet your job/project is product driven with no human element involved! Have you ever been a coach on the high school or college level? Going to guess no to that question. Some of you people are just plain dumb when it comes to coaching young people on the college level.

Totally. He should say “ I did everything I could, they did not block. They did not tackle. They did not catch. They suck. What else can I do?” ??

Seriously, what is he supposed to say? He is taking the blame. Not throwing the players under the bus. At least he cares and he wants to fix things.

Now what if your job dictated that you wouldn't be successful on every project?

Now what if you took a new job where everything in that department was in complete shambles and would very, very obviously take a couple of years to fix, then would you get grace for failed projects when it was known when you took the job there would be failed projects early on?

Why didn't he fix everything right away!!!!!!

What you're asking for him to have done is entirely unrealistic, and some thing not a single coach could have done.

And finally, you're basing all of this on coach speak in a post game press conference, where they all say they didn't do a good job. So that's silly to begin with.

I mean, maybe if your project is in direct competition with another, better, more advanced, team’s project.

If you showed up at your job to replace an idiot that was more interested in chasing tail than doing his job and he left a big mess, your boss would understand if it took a while to get things in order.

So we're supposed to fire him 6 games into a season where any rational person knew we wouldn't be very good?

People like you are allowed to have and voice your opinion. Murica. People like me are allowed to laugh at people like you for having expectations not grounded in reality. Same Murica.

Clearly the understanding of where we actually are as a team escapes you. And that’s ok. We will welcome you back on the wagon when we are dominating in 2-3 years. Just be aware it’s a bandwagon for you.
