I don't recall Robinson being the No.1 dual threat QB coming out of high school and I don't think he's better than Shep.

DR was ranked as the No. 14 athlete in the country, just behind Drayton Calhoun.

Somehow RR got him ready to play.

That allows him to touch the ball every play.

Tell Les, I think it could work. Shep would need to put on a little more weight I think though.

Robinson has a whole lot better arm than Shep. But I will say this, I think Jefferson needs to ride the pine.

I know. Reason: Rich Rodriguez is his coach and runs the spread-opetion. Miles and Crowton have decided that Jordan Jefferson runs the spread-option better than Shepard. I don't know how they came to this conclusion because Jefferson is not an elusive runner and does not make good decisions when they do run it. Yet we still continue to use it with him.

If Denard Robinson were on the LSU roster, he would be riding the pine. He'd average 5 touches a game.

ok.... I'm sure you know this:

A). He was a QB in high school. A very, very good one.

and

B). Just because he's listed as a WR, doesn't mean he's married to that position.

Look at the talk of PP making some offensive plays here and there. Isn't that neat?

It took RR himself a couple years to develop his offense at Michigan. Coaches just cant decide they want to run his offense, its not easy; although one might think different casually watching a game.

Do I think Shep would be great in a RR offense, absolutely. Pat White is not a good passer, but he worked in that offense. Same with Robinson, line him up in a regular spread against ND and he doesnt put up those numbers.

None of this means they cant steal some plays and let Shep go to work. Im sure its been thought of, but they probably dont want to risk him taking a big hit a la Colt McCoy.

YOu guys really don't get it. Those type offenses are nice, and can get you wins WHEN you play teams you can physically whip. However, when you go up against a defense within the SEC, and specifically the upper echelon of D's, that running crap won't get it. Teams will shut that down in the SEC, and those qb's are not really good passers when you force them to beat you with their arms. Pryor is a perfect examply at Ohio State...yes the media trying to pump him as heisman hopeful....but he can't pass.....not can harris of miami...and you will find that robinson and michigan would get shut down against a good defense that could stop him from running. You are forgetting that Notre Dame defense sucks. Again, would we have a better offense week in and week out with that kind of offense? probably...but in the end you have to have a pro style offense to win the big ones.....

Sub. in RS for JJ tonight and run the same plays. What do you think happens? Honestly?

I say he breaks at least 1 and maybe completes a few more bubble screens.

Dudes,

How retarded would RR be if he had DR at WR getting only 5-6 touches a game?

And Tate Forcier is probably better than either of our starting QBs.
