No....it would probaly take two titles back to back for that to happen. And, if that were to happen, everyone on this board would go with it. He can probably win a title with the talented assistant coaches we currently have if he allows them to do their job. However, can he do it when those coaches leave for better jobs after the title. That's what Saban does. He wins or is in the hunt regardless of his assistant coaches.

I would figure that O would get a raise of course, but I would also figure that he would ask for very significant raises for his coordinators and position coaches. As in, enough money to keep them at LSU unless they are just absolutely determined to leave for less money.

So, no. I doubt it.

No, he would get a raise. Allot more to prove to get Saban type money.

All he has to do is take an interview with North Texas and Alleva will give him sacks of gold every offseason

I think Coach O is being overpaid as it is.

Either the coordinators will be gone for head coach positions or there will also have to be major raises for the coordinators.

This program at this point is relying on coordinators at this point with a good recruiter as HC

Coach O is not leaving on his own for any other job.

In your scenario if he wins a title and has a clause to be the highest paid coach, this is what he will do. If the money is $8M per year he would take the 8 then immediately give $2M back to all the other coaches and get a $3M raise to $6M per year ($1M to both Aranda and Canada) to make Aranda at $2.3M year and Canada at about $1.7M year and extend them to a 4 year uncancellable contract. I would say they would stay for that much coordinator money, and in 4 years LSU should pull another natty.

Take the other $1M and split it between the other coaches adding about $150K to each coach.

I would say the LSU staff would be locked down and very happy
