If Brian Kelly had just lost to ULM at home by 7, the fans would be calling for his head.

Yet that’s exactly what Saban did at Bama in 2007. Losing to FSU by 1 is a far cry from that. The future is bright but it’s gonna take some tough losses to get there.

I remember the billboard ULM put up on I-20. That had to be the most extreme embarrassment for Bama to see on their way to the independence bowl that year.

I would have rather lost to FSU by 14 than the way choked ourselves by not being able to execute an extra point

People need to realize how big of a rebuild this truly is.

The roster was astronomically worse than any point in the 90s and way worse than when Saban got here.

This isn’t simple replace the coach and all is fine..

How orgeron managed and left the program/roster after 2019 is remarkable in itself

it’s crazy people were picking 10 wins with this patched up roster. It’s a true rebuild. If Kelly and staff can keep recruiting like they are then good things are ahead

That’s not going to happen with the most ignorant fanbase in the world.

It's not that we lost its in the fashion how we lost people are a little upset.

4 huge special teams mistakes and they weren't corrected after the 1st time.

I honestly am stunned at how this team was coached all around. Not at all what I expect for 10M/yr. Below average to poor game plans all around. Did not see much in the way of adjustments. The yards at the end were nice, but Semiholes were blitzing much less.

Still do not know how well JD can decipher defenses. This is a sine qua non for QBs. If he cannot do this, it matters not how fast he is or how well he can throw a ball. BTW, I think he needs to develop some touch on his short/intermediate game.

Having two kicking attempts blocked is completely inexcusable. Worse, I think, than the muffed punts.

The best thing to me was the fact that the team did not quit, outside of maybe Mr. Boutte. Unless I am mistaken, almost all of the SEC teams will be better that Fl State. It's going to be a trying season, baws.

Saban had just broke a long losing streak to Tennessee before that game. Plus he had a great recruiting class already lined up.

Because our fans need to continually here it. Our fan base, overall, has shown themselves to be some of the worst over the past few days.

Saban also lost to a bad Florida State team by 7 that same year...

No. This is a great example of how ignorant our fan base has become. What an asinine comment. It is impossible to be build a roster that was less than half-filled several months ago within the first year. Impossible. Yes, we brought in some great talent via the portal. But it’s still a patchwork team.

God, I hate our fan base right now.
