Imagine what LSU baseball would look like if they had the same rule as basketball, where a player needs to come to school for at least one season instead of going pro straight out of high school.

Notable LSU commits that didn't make it on campus:

Class of 2011
- Trevor Story, Colorado Rockies

Class of 2012
- Joey Gallo, Texas Rangers (Just sent to AAA)

Class of 2013
- Justin Williams, Class A+ (275 GM, .313 BA, 145 RBI, 139 R)

Class of 2014
- Bobby Bradley, Class A+ (212 GM, .277 BA, 50 HR, 198 RBI)

Class of 2016
Riley Pint, drafted 4th Overall

I think the NBA and MLB should have the exact same rules. If you don't get drafted and sign out of high school, you wait until you're 21.

Carson Baranik made it to campus. Got a dui and manieri kicked him off. He then went to a juco and then transferred to ULL and finished there

Uh, they're different leagues. They can make whatever rules their owners want. I don't think either of those leagues gives one single hoot about the other's rules.

I like it, but I think 2 years for basketball. I think 3 years you might as well just not have the Rule, because too many would rather risk the NBA than do 3 years.

The 2010 class alone had:

Zach Lee
Kevin Gausman
Ryan Eades
Cam Bedrosian

Also had Rumbelow and the Cune. Delino DeShields Jr. as well.

You could add

2011 Jake Cave
2013 Nick Longhi
2014 Mac Marshall

He was a third round pick. We could have used that power this year. Imagine him at 1st and deichman either on 3rd or the OF.

Maybe that's why he gave his opinion on how they should structure their rules.

He never said that they couldn't make their own rules.

He never said they were the same leagues.

Ironically...

MarinersPR (@MarinersPR) tweeted at 8:06 PM on Sun, Jun 19, 2016:
#Mariners acquire RHP Zach Lee from #Dodgers in exchange for INF Chris Taylor. The 40-man roster remains full.
