Damn son. It's all about the process. And the execution of the process.

saban saves his cap space for his front lines and defensive depth.

careful guys, you will be labeled as bamasessed from the Miles Hater Eradication Squad.

You're still posting? I figured you would have banned yourself for all the Miles pumping you have done over the years only to watch it unfold in front of your eyes what a fraud Miles was.

Great passers don't want to go to a program where they aren't going to be the focal point of the offense. Also, Saban probably doesn't want a me-first qb, which the vast majority of great high school qbs are. That leaves very few qbs. Any university is going to be heavily limited geographically, which hurts Saban bc most high schools in the south use athletes at qb.
quote:I would say Saban has done a heck of a good job developing qbs.
develop an elite QB

Because he doesn't need to. He can take a 3 star QB and develop him into what he needs to run his system.
BINGO!!!!!! he has system QB's! They win him TITLES!
plug N play
Greggie McELroy-natty first year starter in 09
AJ-Natty first year starter in 2011 wins natty and again the next year
Syms- sec champs and playoffs first year starter in 2014
coker-first year starter natty in 2015
the fact we have an OP here who derides this type of system success is very telling! yet pathetic.

Weren't you supposed to leave with miles? Just waiting for the next stop since he's in limbo?

Blake Sims senior year
65%, 3,487 yards, 28tds and 10ints
Coker senior year
67%, 3,110 yards, 21tds, 8ints
AJ junior year
67%, 2,933 yards, 30tds, 3ints
AJ senior year
67%, 3,063 yards, 28tds, 7ints
I would kill for that "lack of development"
ETA: Just to give the OP an idea how stupid he is, this is Mettenbergers senior year stats that will all rave about:
65%, 3,082 yards, 22tds, 8ints

I'm not sure that clown has any shame whatsoever. Hopefully he leaves with miles along with the handful of others who put miles first over the well being of LSU. You know who they are.

You really are sad. Alabama and Nick Saban are the epitome of a elite. You are reaching so hard it's not even funny.
Let me guess, you probably think Miles is just as good of a coach Saban is also.

When has he not had a solid QB? I'd take every QB he fielded over the ones we have had the last decade. It doesn't take an NFL caliber QB to win college championships. That's been proven over and over. But you gotta have a leader and someone who can win games when necessary.

and if Nick Saban is an elite coach. Why hasn't he been able to recruit and develop an elite QB?
I guess developing a QB is a better barometer of a great program, than ya know, racking up titles every year.

Let me make this clear... You see this is "1" person correct?
Now you see all the opposite responses correct? I'll say we have some very real fans and just very few idiots or delusional fans like this guy.
LSU will and should be the team to take them off of their high horse. Their invincible belief that no one can beat them. LSU needs to take this notion down starting next Saturday. They have a good reason to believe this but we all know LSU has the teams to do it especially if we hold onto Aranda, he gets his guys in his system and our offense becomes a real offense. The QBs are getting better and I think will get even more depth being as how our offense is now moving the ball. Hopefully that continues against bama.

What's wrong with you? I didn't mention Les Miles.
Why are you so Miles obsessed? Relax, you can sleep at night. That mean old Les Miles isn't going to leap out of your insecurity closet and get you.
Now back to Saban who has a lot of worshipers here...............
