I have been a long time lurker on this board, but felt the need to speak up on the topic of CLM and his inability to evolve with the game. Over the years I have been a strong supporter of Miles. I felt the frustrations many of you feel, but always felt there was a light at the end of the tunnel. After witnessing what happened to end the season in 2015 and now begin the 2016 season, i realize he will likely never get us there.

Several people have given suggestions on ways to show support for his removal as coach. Not showing up to games is not going to happen, there will always be a demand for tickets, petitions are easily swept aside and do not have a public showing and calling or emailing the AD can be dismissed just as easily.

I purpose a silent, but very visual show of disapproval, wear black to the games this season until Miles is removed. I will be rocking my black coaches polo to the game this weekend.

How about black shirts with " Fire Miles " stamped on them in all caps.

How about we all write letters to the Board of Supervisors, Alleva and Alexander asking for Miles to be fired? If just 10 percent of our fan base did this, I believe it would get their attention.

More important than that is to cut LSU revenue by not buying their products. They may already have ticket proceeds, but there are still income sources that could be affected with a boycott by a majority of the fan base.

How bout we all STFU and support the TEAM? Make the most of the season and see where it takes us. Come January there may very well be a big shake up, but it would be a terrible idea to make a move like that right now. The team doesn't need that in the middle of a dragon and the school damn sure doesn't.

Most people are afraid to lose something over missing out on gaining something. Similar principle of sunk cost.

In those cases the pain of transition increases with time, and the gains you finally go for are diminished are delayed (often reinforcing the original tendency)

Most of this fan base, and admin, is at that tipping point.

I understand that. I'm frustrated too, and I don't know if you'll ever meet a bigger Miles supporter than I've been. My concern now is that I don't wanna go back to the 90's and I can see that being a likely scenario. People keep dropping Jimbo's name, but last night reminded me of why Les took the playbook from him at LSU. I don't see him being the answer, and Herman isn't coming. Who then?

We make an effigy of Miles - have a mob drag it out on to the field during pre-game right in front of the coaches and then have the mob form a single file line and, while each member poops on the effigy one at a time, have the stadium cheer "GEAUX!!!" point to the other side, next pooping "LESMILES" point to the other side of the stadium, next pooping "GEAUX!!!", point, next pooping "LESMILES"

Then call out riders with flaming spears on horses onto the field. Once they arrive have then run in a circle around the effigy. Little does anyone know, the effigy is nothing more than a housing for flammable fuels. As the riders circle, on the count of 10, have the riders heave their spears into the effigy.

INSTANTLY, the effigy explodes into a steaming pile of hot shite that stinks up the stadium.

At that point, the SCOREBOARD lights up "BEHOLD THE OFFENSE OF MILES" AND the announcers yell "BEHOLD THE OFFENSE OF MILES" over the speakers.

And then have everyone in the stadium chants "the offensive Miles" as the riders on their steeds whisk Miles away out of the Stadium.

That, or something similar, should get the message across.

LOL Les taking the playbook from Jimbo? When did this happen? Jimbo's offense put up 45 points my friend. Les put up 7 and needed a turnover to get it.

Damn right, invest a lot of your time and money so that you will have about 3 defensive plays to cheer for.

And try not to slit your wrists when the offense or special teams are on the field.

He is trying to do what is asked, punt near the boundry. He and the KO guy would do much better if allowed to simply kick instead of being cute

Your sentiment is exactly why sunk cost is an issue. Some would call it fear of the unknown.

But, here's the rationale, what are the expectations for LSU football? I would say a SEC championship game 50% is for sure not to too much to expect with this talent. At any rate, if the expectations are higher than can be achieved, most of us think that is the case, then a change must be made. Period. Your goals will not be achieved. Yes 8 or 9 wins, but not your goal. Period.

If we make a 4-5 year return to the '90's, we are still not achieving our goals. But, at least the trajectory could be changed to get there. If you keep Miles for 4-5 more years it will be less painful, but you still won't reach your goals. And you will STILL have to make that move. Maybe by that time recruiting is no where near where it is currently. Maybe this dragging out turns LSU Football into a monetary sinkhole and now you can't afford to change that trajectory. Either way, we're going to have to endure some pain. If the change is now, maybe we only get '97 LSU and not the debacle of 3 each '98's.

The corporate world is littered with companies that thought good enough is good enough. Until that money maker no longer sold or the competition found a better way. We're the US steel industry; with no railroads buying up our product all of a sudden we're finding we're the high-cost option for a lesser product less in demand. There was no plan B. If a plan B isn't acted on now the Chinese (Bama) and British (Clemson) will not overtake us, which they have done, but because of recruiting in CFB basically make it where we can never get back there.

Who? Don't know. I don't think Jimbo is out of the picture; it's much much harder now (there's the negative of inaction). Herman, I don't see it either. I watch less talented teams play much better games on the whole than us all the time. They might not have the hosses to win that often, but the play better games and give the teams with the hosses fits. Saban at MSU vs ND/Mich/tOSU is a good example by the way. They are out there, and they are hungry.

if the people can't get it done, change the plan. Go to the next best thing and adapt. Quit trying to do what the players are not capable of. Turn the negative into a positive.
