I wonder why Key and Chaisson don't play together.

This should be our 2nd or 3rd and long package. This would keep Donnie out of the game. The speed on both sides of the ball would contain a mobile qb and cause havoc for olines.

Key is lazy and Chaisson is green it's pretty simple.

Dude, Key is honestly one of our worst players on the field this year. He needs to be benched. Put Chaisson in his place.

I thought it was Key that ran by their LT just before the half and forced Franks to step up into a sack (I think that's what's happening in the pic above).
he also diagnosed a screen and at least made it a bit more difficult play if he didn't make the tackle (that there's no other players coming up to gang tackle in situations like that when the play is first "flushed out" is a big issue with this defense, but that's another thread).
I thought his effort was maybe the best it's been all year, but he's obviously a step or 2 slower than last year.

Key lost his key this year! I think he is playing not to get hurt! Should use other players to get some time for next year!

My thoughts as well. I think he's getting there.
I said this tongue in cheek in another thread, but that late hit he had, as dumb as it was, showed a ton of effort on his part to even be that far downfield to do it in the first place.

Key is improving. You lay off for a while you aren't going to miraculously come back in game shape and playing like you have never left the field.
He is playing poorly but showed a few good plays. Hopefully they will be more and more frequent as the season progresses and he will be more of an asset and not a liability.

Key just don’t give a damn... looks like he simply exists while on the field.
O’s joke of him coming back next year had some truth in it. Use this year to regroup and next year to prove you still got it. Cause right now, he don’t. If he can’t handle the pressure of media, fans, and family, the NFL lime-light will chew him up.

Aranda is my favorite coach. I think he's using Key's presence on the field more than Key's ability. Look at the MSU game, what side Key was on, they ran the opposite direction. This is very useful in game planning and scheming. It just hasn't worked out because our backs and DL are not making plays.
Once other teams realize Key is nowhere near the player he was last year (they probably have already), he will no longer be a good decoy.
