I wonder if the Alabama fan base turn on Saban his first year after the UL Monroe loss?

Man we have got to gain perspective as a fan base. We knew this team has holes and filling our team with a bunch of transfers is not going to result in immediate success. Everyone for some reason still expects 2019 results Give BK time to lay the foundation, weed out attitudes and old habits. Remember we had 39 players at the end of last year and a freaking wide receiver playing quarterback. Let him built.

Let's talk in a decade after Kelly has won 6 National Championships.
OK?

Why not talk about similar situations now?

Right on point. Anyone who thought BK was going to pickup where Burrow left off is a casual fan. Dynasty’s aren’t built in a day. And, casual, band-wagon fans bitch and moan and attack coaches, players when they don’t win by double digits every freaking game. Grow up and support the Tigers!!

The Bama fanbase turns on Saban after losing a game. They’re a different breed who just assumes they’re supposed to win every game.

A large chunk absolutely did. Every fan base has idiots. Some more than others.

I know all their fans were booing the team after the game. As fun as it is to make fun of Bama fans, our fans are way more fanatical and stupid.

Our fans now are satisfied with 3 straight losing seasons after winning the national championship in 2019 and completing the single greatest season in college football history. What a momentum boost after 2019.

The name of this message board is literally the "RANT".

There is no such thing as perspective and calm outlook here.

Are the situations even similar?

Very similar. A highly respected coach takes over a program that is one of the nation’s best, but that has been down in the dumps recently. His first team has some talent, shows some spark, but has some disappointing losses.

Yet Saban was already a proven national championship winner out of the SEC.
Kelly made the majority of his living beating mediocre teams with an annual Top 20 opponent and a couple of playoff beatdowns.
I just find it hard to put those 2 coaches in the same discussion.
