Props to his family.

No question. As long as he keeps this attitude, he will overcome whatever happened to him against Auburn. I see great things in his future.

The only way to gain coincidence on the field is to be on the field. Hope he starts vs. Fla.

Agreed, fantastic interview.

Many are attributing his performance to nerves or jitters, yet Harris had repeatedly said that's not the case.

In fact, he chalked it up to footwork and mechanics.

Now, does that make us more or less concerned? Would you rather your qb suffer from nerves or fundamental issues?

I haven't decided which is easier fixed.

I have known Brandon since he was 14 and had the ability to coach him. He is a very great young man and athlete. I know that he did not have a great game, but I can assure you that he will be ready in the upcoming weeks when his number is called. We talked about his performance and he was so upset about letting the team down. This is a kid that has not experienced many losses on the football field. He watched film for over four to five hours on Sunday...Those are passes that he normally makes...He needed that start and for those mistakes to happen. He knows what it feels like to hit rock bottom and I can assure you he will not experience that feeling again. He is too determined and driven to let that happen.

Nerves and fundamentals go hand in hand sometimes - that's why a 3-foot putt at the US Open is not a "gimme" - the fundamentals are there, but they break down under pressure. Only experience helps - winning in a big game setting will help the most in getting over that hump - losing can make it worse, unless you have an extremely motivated, confident individual who relishes the idea of overcoming adversity. Sounds like Harris is that guy - I'm not giving up on Jennings either - both seem like competitive and positive young men.

You really are getting to be unreadable.

You're the one who keeps reminding everyone that Harris is older than Jennings. So Harris is the youngest QB to start a game for LSU since . . . the previous game.

And for the record, Jefferson is the youngest QB to start a game for LSU, and he QBed after Hodson.

Last Saturday night was a minor setback. Brandon is going to be fine. He's going to leave LSU as a great Tiger.

He will be a great one for us.

I didn't like the part in the interview where he said our game plan was great and that Cam called a great game. I hope that was just being "PC" because it was an awful game plan.

You got that freakin right...Young man has a lot of maturity in handling people and bad days on the field...now if we can get him as comfortable on the grass as he is in the locker room, LSU will be forever talking about this young man!!!

Not that it matters but Jennings (20 this month) is a year older than Harris (19 this month).

Harris handled the post game interview better than Miles. He shouldered the blame like a good soldier and complimented the coaches on the game plan..what plan was that???

Harris knows how to make things work better and he just needs a spread offense to work out of like he did in the MSST and NMS games. IMO Harris and the team would have had a far better chance coming out in the AUB game confident and aggressive rather than being handicapped by low expectations "FR QB, young team". A predictable and conservative start set the tone with him under center fumbling the first snap rather than in the shotgun. Psychology says people play up or down to expectations. What happened to "I like us in every game" Miles and hand claps on the sideline?

For a while now, many people were saying that Harris was older than Jennings. I just assumed it was true.
Turns out you are correct.

Harris is certainly a bright spot this year for the fans (posi & nega tigers alike). If you can't like this kid you are broken.
