I want Jefferson to play at Auburn ... and here's why

Lee doesn't need 100% of the snaps.
Lee doesn't need to start and have a target on his back, because it's working just fine the way it's going ... we're sneaking up on folks who think we have the 100th (or some stinking ridiculous number) ranked offense in America
Lee is staying healthy for the stretch run.
In fact, Lee's QB Efficiency rating is excellent
Lee got 50% of snaps at Florida ... and we won!
Lee got 66% this week ... and we beat McNeese with subs despite JJ's 44 yards of offense
So, using this progression and logic (trying to figure out what Miles & Crowton will do), I expect that Lee will get at least 66% of the 75 snaps this week at Auburn and that equals 50 snaps, the most this season ... and LSU is going to fricking Roll Auburn in their own house ... At least by 17 points
One last point for all of you worried fools who can't see an ambush coming ... JJ can flat out run and presents a problem for Auburn's run or "lack of run" defense.
Let JJ get his 3 or 4 drives and let JJ get his 15 or 20 snaps and ...
1. Let's keep the defense off balance
2. Let's keep Lee healthy for the stretch run
3. Let's let the coaches coach
Some folks can't see the forest for the trees.
LSU is going to whip Auburn's azz and run the table in 2010 ... If you don't see it happening or you don't believe it will happen, you've got a surprise coming ... Tickets for Phoenix, please

Yeah, we're 92nd. Now the term used for shite this bad is sneaky?

Auburn is 15th in run defense.
Okay....I can see you put in a good bit of time behind this thread, and I commend your efforts. However, this is a very bad post full of very bad logic. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

This from a Michigan homer stuck in Metairie ...
Or an Auburn crossdresser citing Auburn defensive stats

did he? We almost lost the game because we didn't play him enough. We were very, very fortunate to win
quote:
Lee got 66% of snaps for McNeese St
because Jefferson went 3 and out on his drives, therefore resulting in less plays. Although Crowton said JJ didn't play more because they didn't want him to get injured.

If you're a gambler like Miles,
i'm not really sure that he is a gambler. He may take some risks, but every coach does. I don't think that the correct calls = gambling, no matter how much is on the line for the play

do you run your thoroughbred to f-ing death or hold him healthy and steady for the stretch run.
give me a fricking break. You think that Les is trying to save Lee? UF was a pretty big fricking game to be holding your "thoroughbred"
quote:
Let JJ get his 15 - 20 snaps a game
short yardage, red zone, and when we have a big lead (because of lack of depth at the QB position).
quote:
Would you rather he have a target on his back like Cam "The Sham" Newton ... getting everyone's "best shot" week in and week out and getting busted up or injured/out.
he is a pocket passing QB. He is nothing like Cam Newton in any way, shape, or form. Defenses are going to try and stop him regardless, because they are trying to win the game. I doubt Alabama is going to be playing a top 5-10 team any harder because of who their QB is.

Misleading title. This thread isn't what I thought it would be.
The problem with your theory is that when JJ comes in, lately he's only been helping the other side. Sure, there was the one fluke play against TN, but he's hardly been keeping the defense off balance.
Anyone know what is the highest end-of-season rank achieved by a team whose offense was ranked in the 90's?

actually, it was a net total of 4 yards

i disagree with this too.
If you honestly believe what you write, wow

He does, I promise you. There is a group of LSU folks out there that are still 100% sold on Jordan Jefferson and are living in complete delusion.

If there is any attempt for either contestant to cheat, especially with my wife, who is a dirty, dirty, tramp, I am just gonna snap. Do I make myself clear?

At this point, I am not sure there is really anything that JJ does consistently well. On 3rd and inches, having him come in does at least give you a stronger runner to take a QB sneak. But, Lee showed that he can run the ball a bit on Saturday (granted, against McNeese).
JJ isn't really a threat to throw the ball except on screens or short outs to the sidelines, and even then it's a dicey situation.
So, other than a few situational spots (like Tebow in his FR year...certainly not comparing talent levels), there really isn't a place for JJ as a starter...UNLESS...Lee likes to see 1-2 series before coming in. That's the only logical explanation left.

quote:Some of you act like JL can't run at all. He made a pretty damn good run Sat. Night. Also, him and JJ both run 4.6 40's. So its not like JJ is faster. Bottom line is JL should play 100% of the time.
JJ can flat out run and presents a problem for Auburn's run or "lack of run" defense.

If you want to actually win this game - PLAY LEE!

Other than our coaches, his immediate family, a couple of minority callers that call 1210 everyday (and are obvious racists), oh yeah, and Roaad, I am finding it difficult to find anyone that supports wasting anymore plays on this kid.

Sounds like someone won't put the Miles' koolaid down!

I am quite sure you aren't directing that at me?
I was a supporter of Les, even while I spent all last season on here lambasting him wasting development time on that which could not be developed, but he lost me this year as he continued to let the worst QB in the entire NCAA trot out there and potentially ruin what could be a special season.

Right.
At what point do you just have to conceded that Jefferson has to be written off for the year?
