I agree. Push the seccg back. The selection committee will just have to wait a week. I don't understand why this is a big deal.

Agreed.

And it won't affect the selection committees all that much. They will already know where both participants are going, one maybe two other bowls will be affected.

I'm for any scenario in which we play all 12 games. If that can't happen, gaytors need to forfeit.

Never going to happen. They're not pushing the playoff selection back a week just for that game.

Why do people keep saying this?

What exactly will it affect?

The playoffs know if the SEC champ is getting in. The sugar knows if they are taking one of the participants. One other bowl could be affected, but they would already know their plan.

So at most 3 bowls, that don't play for another 3 weeks, would be somewhat affected . Unless those bowls are run by the Florida administration, 3 weeks is plenty of time to plan.

Teams, families, fans, staff all having one less week to make preparations for their destination.

The first bowls start Dec. 17th. Do you expect them to announce other bowls not affected by our game and hold out on all the others? Its not getting pushed back

Broken record here, but Florida should be forced to forfeit.

Do you think bowls starting December 17th have any shot of getting either team in the SEC Championship? No bowls within 3 weeks would be affected.

Do you think they are going to announce every other bowl that isnt affected by our game? And just wait to announce the others? Keep in mind there is a ripple that occurs which could involve multiple different bowl sites and potential destinations for other teams.

Why wouldn't they?

And I am pretty sure that this ripple that you are talking about is a lot smaller than you seem to think it is.
