It was all the timing routes. You could tell he didn't have the quick routes down yet with these receivers...

TigerJeux...are you normally an a-hole or do you work hard at it?

Well, I responded earlier when you had (No Message). I changed my response after I saw you had actually changed it to say something.

Why is this a surprise? Coaches see them every day and practice. If by some miracle JL would have improved dramatically then JJ would have pine splinters in his arse. People need to let the JLee issue rest. He needs confidence to be a leader.

Maybe I should say I thought he would be better than he was yesterday....

He hasn't really had much opportunity in a year to feel real game speed though.

What you see is kinda what you get with a QB who has been on the bench all season except for a couple of plays.

One thing I did notice...his interception didn't go for six in the other direction so that was definitely an improvement.

As bad as Lee played, I'd rather have seen a lot of Shep in the Wildcat throwing the ball.

I'd agree. I certainly thought that with almost an entire year of doing the same practice drills that JJ does, he'd be able to at least bring 80% of the game JJ brings. That effort seemed to be like 40%. He even threw a pick at the end of the game. Classic Lee.

Sad...but true. He might could do better against slower defense...but not with Fla. or Bama.

Hope Jefferson dont go lame.

He went 4-4 when he first came in the game, then we completely abandoned the run game for some unexplained reason.

I'm not saying he played great, or should be starting or anything like that. But I'd take him in that situation over a kid who has yet to throw a pass in a college football game.

OK with that logic JJ should have done the same thing last year when Lee got injured but he threw a 39 yard catch off the bench then drove them to a touchdown. He is better and JL is just not there

While I am in no way advocating Lee should be the starter or should have been the starter, I do believe that with 2 young quarterbacks he should have seen more action (at least a series in each game). This would have done 2 things:

1) it would have given Jefferson a chance to see what the defense was doing from another angle and

2) in the event Jefferson went down with an injury, he (Lee) wouldnt have been so rusty. Yes, he did lead us to a touchdown but there were several throws you could tell that timing was off

You mean last season? When he came in, LSU scored a touchdown and then did nothing else the rest of the game? Cause that sounds kind of like what happend last night.
