I thought "Dr. Jerry Punch" was rather pretentious.

ESPN was scraping the bottom of the barrel on sideline reporters.

If he is an MD or PhD, dentist or veternarian or whatever, that is irrelevant to his sideline reporting. The fact they referred to him in the graphics as "Dr. Jerry Punch" was somewhat pathetic.

He even said something to the effect that "I'm a doctor, I should know."

I take for granted most sideline reporters don't know much, but this guy combined ignorance with pompous pretentiousness.

You should check out his wiki page. He credits himself with saving dozens of lives while working as a sports reporter.

Guy doesn't seem so bad. He must have been seriously dissatisfied with the medical profession to ditch it and became a sideline reporter.

I don't care about sideline peeps

But Ed Cunningham is the worst. Comes up with ridiculous scenarios that aren't even relevant to the game. It's a joke. He needs to learn to say more while speaking less cause it felt like he never shut up the entire game
