Is really good this year. Just because they weren't ranked when we played them doesn't mean squat. Nobody knows who's good or not after week 2.
I'm not saying this justifies getting blown out. Obviously. We made horrible mistakes. Penalties reversing touchdowns. Dropped passes, etc. Just that this angle hasn't been ranted here yet. If M state wins the SEC (not probable but possible) then everyone will have a different tone. We will see. Lots of season left for everyone.

Not necessarily. If State wins the SEC and LSU goes 6-6 I don't think anyone will feel better about that loss.

I think LSU is not very good and are undisciplined.
See how that works?
Nothing you or I THINK means shite in the wins column. That's what we told Les. As a "nega-Tiger" because of how I viewed Miles for years, I can't believe that on November 26, 2016 I was begging for him to come back. Les

I understand that as a State fan, you don't want to think that last Saturday was just fool's gold.

Even if they are good has nothing to do with how bad LSU is.
What I mean by this is LSU couldn't get out their own way with the penalties and misalignment.

Let's see where 5 more losses can come from.

Alabama- check.
Auburn- definitely probable, check.
AT Florida- very likely, check.

Ole Miss- possible.
At Tennessee- possible
Texas A&M- possible.
Arkansas- possible.

30 pt loss in Starkville tells me that no game is a gimme; right now we have no room to say anybody is an easy win. Other teams in turmoil, such as Ole Miss, Tennessee and A&M, they might be circling LSU on the calendar when it comes to "winnable games".

You better believe that A&M, if they get the chance, will blow the doors off this team and run the score as high as possible.

Your only problem is that all of those games, with the exception being Alabama, are all very possible wins. None of those teams have looked any better than we have up to this point. I'm not saying we go 8-1 the rest of the way, but I also don't think we lose all of those games at all.

They haven't looked any better?

We've played 1 team with a pulse. We got destroyed.

A&M- scored a shite ton, looked very good for 2 1/2 quarters, at UCLA. In other words, they showed more than we did at MSU.
Florida- defense played with intensity for a half against Michigan, got 2 pick 6's. That's better than we have on our record for now.
Tennessee- showed fight to come back in Atlanta against Georgia Tech, and did the same against Florida but lost. We showed no fight or comeback at State.
Auburn- hung around against #2 Clemson, could have won if they played a lot smarter and cleaned it up.

Arkansas and Ole Miss- yes, they are meh. But you really have to accept- we have also been meh too. We aren't playing better than them.

There's no conference opponent on schedule I feel comfortable enough to say "we beat them no question". The weaker teams might well be the ones more desperate to play us, to get a W where they can. We could be saving Sumlin's season, Butch's season, Bert's season. We could be the lone chance at a bright spot for Ole Miss. We might not be good, but people still like to list "we beat LSU" on their resumes.

We made State look like world beaters with our BS play on the field when they are really not. They got a shot, but will trip up down the line IMO
