Thanks one of the most truer statements about Harris, he will be fine in due time the finger pointed at the aubie game was not all on him the whole team got that arse whipped!
One of my favorites of all time looked way worse than Harris in his start vs Auburn he looked like he was shell shocked from the start of the game until he got jerked out of the game and Rohan turned out just fine.

You are 100% CORRECT if he is not in the film room now studying his arse off. The light is not just going to go on by not working hard everyday not just a couple of days

Is this a question? Is something missing?

I really think BH will impress. His leash was obviously short last year and didn't get the experience he should have. I'm excited to about this kid if he truly gets an honest shot at the number 1 spot.

Paul Finebaum once again mentioned what a talent Harris is, this came when a caller called in and said what they don't want is Lane Kiffin in Baton Rouge. They believe Kiffin could develop and coach QB's and offensively bring Miles into the 21st Century

So we have sunk to the level of quoting a caller to Finebaum as proof of something to do with LSU football?
Really dude?
An caller to a sports radio show?

Harris already played much better than Jennings this year.
We need "the light to come on" for Les.
Maybe it will.

I also think he will be an excellent talent but I don't believe it has anything to do with the "QB" talk. When LSU first recruited Harris their was a media quote from him that came off as cocky and as though he didn't want to be at LSU and EVERYONE jumped on him with the negative comments only 4 or 5 months later he was all LSU and everyone was then praising the crap out of him. Once again I believe everyone has it wrong as I suggested that time. Harris will take the reigns and will kick all LSU opponents butts along the way. Cam and Brandon along with the TEs and WRs have lots of work to put in and I hope the coaches are preaching championships to them all for motivation to be the best!!! I know this once LSU puts all this together look out rest of the nation look out. GT!!!!!

I have to believe that harris or Jennings will be better next year. I want to believe that whoever starts is the best qb. Whoever it is, I want LSU to win ballgames BECAUSE of him, not in spite of him. Here's to next year!

He should have gained more experience last yr, end of story.

this is complete bs. He did gain a lot of experience....and humility. How many of those other red shirt freshmen that burst out onto the scene had significant playing time as a freshman? BH got meaningful snaps in several games last year, and pretty much played the entire game against Auburn.

He had a couple of good games in back up roles, and a terrible game in a starting role. I know it's hard for some of you to get, but sometimes a backup can have much success coming off the bench and catching a team unprepared....vs taking a starting role and the other team gameplanning against him.....

All of the talk about how bad our QB's are and Braxtom Miller/Golston rumors have to have some kind of affect on him. We did not do him any favors last year by sitting him out unless he had an injury that we didn't know about.

If it was the old coaches collective idea to sit him instead of getting acclimated to the SEC last year when we knew we weren't going to the NCG.

I think he has all the tools to lead us to a NC before his class leaves. We have to give him more time in real games and his switch will click like Fournette's.

He'd have to spend months studying film and just working his arse off to steepen the learning curve. Otherwise, he's not going to magically get a grasp on playing QB in the SEC.

Do you have any reason to suggest that he's doing this? I'd be excited if I read an article that stated Harris was spending x amount of time every week trying to absorb as much about the game as he could prior to spring/fall.

How do you know he isn't? Why do you need an article to prove it?

I don't know how many of you remember JaMarcus Russell's first game verses Oregon St. but it was not pretty. That situation turned out OK. Have faith.

Jamarcus was in his 2nd year (RS frosh)...and he struggled. He was up and down and couldn't hold off Marcus Randle at times.

In other words, QBs develop over time more often than not. To assume that Harris will be ready is foolish IMO.

Exactly! Rohan Davey was terrible his 1st two years and he was one of the best to ever wear purple and gold.

Player #1 = Brandon Harris in 2014
Player #2 = Dak Prescott in 2012 true freshman yr

Prescott played in more games, but more likely in mop up time. Harris got many more attempts, yards and a higher QB rating even with the Auburn debacle, the Miss St interception on the last play of the game and the bonehead interception against Kentucky on his only attempt. Harris also averaged 6.1 yards per rush compared to 3.7 yards per for Prescott their freshman years.

I think it shows Harris has got opportunity to go a long way in a short time. Even if he is truly only given 50% of game time for, say, September next year [as I believe was Prescott early his sophomore year sharing with Tyler Russell and Damian Williams].

frick why do people keep saying this shite. Sure I would like to play for NC every year. But do you really have the expectation that if not the NC game, then to hell with the rest of the season? Do the coaches not owe it to everyone involved to try to win every game they can? Playing Harris for what "may" have resulted in more wins NEXT year is just dumb. It would be a disservice to the team, the fans, and the university to just say "frick it" and throw a guy in in hopes that he somehow passes up a guy who has obviously worked harder and gives you a better chance to win NOW.

And folks, the auburn game was more than just a "bad game" by Harris. He was lost. Much like he was against Wisconsin. He ran out of good pockets when his first read was covered. The plays had to come in from the sidelines most of the game at the line. They didn't trust him to call them in the huddle. It was clear to someone who objectively watched it that it wasn't simply a bad game. He wasn't ready.

Btw... for all the down votes I'm about to receive.
