Breiden Fehoko ? @breidenfehoko4
Best defensive line coaching in all of football! Learned so much in the little time I've been here with the [GOAT] ??!

Well he went from the defensive line coach at Texas Tech to Orgeron. I'm not sure Texas Tech even has a defensive coaching staff at all.

He is referring to Pete Jenkins, not Orgeron.

I think it was a response to the mic'd up Pete Jenkins vid.

Another tweet some may not have seen;

Brian Holland @BHollandSports
Ed Orgeron: Tommy Moffitt said this is the strongest this team has been since he's been here.

I always try to curb my enthusiasm somewhat leading up to the season, but I seldom succeed.

Either is a clear and massive upgrade from whoever was coaching him at Texas Tech and I don't even know who coaches their defense or if they even do that there

Oh no doubt. I'm not taking anything away from Orgeron as a defensive line coach. He is miles ahead of the guy at TTU. But Pete Jenkins is a legend.

The baffling thing about TT is they are in the most talent rich state, you'd think they could find a decent amount of defensive talent and coaching to come to Lubbock and produce a decent defense. Are they confusing this sport with basketball?

Well this should be a great message to all DLman out there trying to pick the school of choice. It should also work wonders on recruiting trips when these transferes can give comparisons to LSU and their old school, how far and above LSU is on others.

Absolutely. I have zero concerns with our defense.

No doubt... maybe their offense tends to be too fast paced thus putting the D on the field more often?

Then again, maybe we are just used to seeing an elite level of defense and tend to take it for granted.

I feel like a special season is coming. At the least a strong year but who knows. I'm optimistic for sure.

I think they say that this team is the strongest and works harder than any other in the weight room pretty much every off-season.

Imagine an alignment with, Alexander, Lawrence, Lacouture, Key, White, Phillips, and Chassion. That is some serious speed/power combination right there. Some serious length as well. Idk how this defense isn't going to be better than last year. It's going to be a tough D.

I'm hoping Shelvin is ready to go by the start of the season and we at least put him in there to see what he can do against easier competition. Maybe we can play Alexander, Shelvin, Lawrence, and Gilmore then put Key, White, and Phillips or Chassion back in a 4/3 at times like a heavy set for run stopping or goaline. Put the big boys in there.

I would have to move guys around, play with the alignments with all this talent. Move Key and Chassion all around bring the safeties in a little like I'm coming then back them off with Key/Chassion dropping back into coverage to confuse send Phillips/White to attack the ball. Aranda is going to have a blast mapping this defense! GT
