So, we start Poche game 1, Lange for game 3.

What do we do game 2? It has to be Peterson.

Or you flip Peterson and Poche.

People laughed when I said Peterson has to start. Ok. Gilbert is done. You can't start Hess. He has to clean up.

So what is the other option?

Probably better off pitching wholestaff Monday Poche Tuesday and Lange Wednesday

There really is no good option if you want to hold Lange till 3

Personally I like Bain more than Peterson. I just can't stand watching a pitcher not throw strikes, and I know that both have their issues but it just seems Peterson is off more than he's on. I'd rather them beat us by swinging the stick then watch us walk a bunch of people like G1 with OSU

Probably depends on what Florida does. They are kinda in the same boat regarding what to do game 2

Florida's rotation is pretty much set.

They're a little deeper starting pitcher wise I believe. Losing Walker really hurt.

What is it? And what's the rest for each?

It was a disaster really. The fact we made it this far is remarkable.

But now that disaster actually hits us hard

I don't know their names outside of Singer who looks to pitch on Monday, but it will be their #2 followed by #4 followed by #3 if needed. At least that's the common consensus

If that's how they go, hold Poche away from Singer and go Peterson for however long and see what the bats can do IMO

Dyson only has one start on the year according to their stats page. Overall era of 3.55 in 33 innings. He does have 45 Ks in those 33 inning though which is pretty impressive.

Link to their stats page including all pitchers and batters updated after tonight: UF Stats

Florida had a good, young bullpen relief pitcher injure his throwing shoulder in their Friday game vs TCU. Don't get me wrong, losing Walker does suck arse.

Yea, saw that injury live. Sucks to see.

I think what someone said earlier is correct. The best they got left is Singler. No reason to use Poche against him.

Roll Peterson and see. Not throwing the game away obviously, but roll Poche and Lange 2/3

Nice discussion baws

Yea it does. I'm not one to get uptight and bitch about mid-week games, but i think we should really find one guy and let him start one a week. It didn't have to Hess after he moved to the pen, but pick Bain or Peterson and let them treat like a start every week. I don't recall them throwing a ton of innings on the weekends anyway and apparently we don't care about winning mid weeks as much as we do trying things and getting experience.

If your goal is to win in Omaha and mid weeks aren't a priority, then a 4 guy with starts under his belt would be beneficial.

Edit: Already forgot about Gilbert because he's pretty much burned, so perhaps we did do what I said anyway. It seems like a lifetime ago that I was watching mid weeks vs Tulane.

I wouldn't go that far. The coaches see enough. There was a reason Peterson was to open the SEC Tourney till he fricked up off the diamond.

They were setting him up to be the 4th starter.

Nah. Gilbert was always gonna be long relief come postseason. Peterson was who they wanted to be the 4th

I hope your right. I'll be honest, I didn't think Gilbert would pitch nearly as well as he did today, but as someone who pitched all through HS (and no I don't claim to be a former bad arse) I know some days you just have it and some you don't. Let's hope whoever gets the ball has a day like Gilbert did today.

I do see your point though; I just wish that whoever gets the ball didn't have to have 2-3 true start in the championship series in Omaha.
