It's not a refusal to fire Miles. It's gross incompetence by the AD and boosters in securing his replacement.

When the same season arrives next year, and LSU again finishes middle of the pack in the SEC West.... You know the refrain from the pumpers:

One more year!
Next year is the year!

You do recognize that 3-8 and 8-3 are different right?

Damn, TWO threads!

If Les Miles drops 8 next year, you have my blessing to rub this in my face all you want.

I love this melt.

Miles improved his SEC record from last year. Based on your logic, he is trending "up" again to 8-3.

I remember the 90s very well too. I attended damn near every home game from 1992-1995. This is nowhere near that disaster. Only a clueless dimwit would think this.

Your blindness/denial is amazing.

#14 in both 2012 and 2013. UNRANKED last year and now. This looks a lot like the 1990's. The trend agrees.

Seems after Dinardo brought three years of MAJOR success (for LSU's standards at the time), he was fired after just two down years.

A major reason why he was fired was his stubborn refusal to change. Tepper was his boy and he backed him as the ship sank. Miles looks very similar right now, pending his decisions to throw Cam and BDP over. The program just has a much bigger cushion to fall back on than it did in DiNardo's time.

This said, Les has been willing to throw coordinators over when he got in trouble before, and it usually buys him a year (on offense with the last 3 OCs) or more (Chavis). That's likely what will happen again. I just hope the new OC bump is enough for the Tigers to compete for the West next year.
