Hands. We now have to look for a new OC and DC?

I just really hope we are in fact looking for a new DC. I trust BK either way, he’s a professional. Can’t lie and say this feels like good news though.

I do think as a fan base we have grown reliant on coordinators. Hate to say it, but look at the Gumps, their coordinators are ravaged nearly every year and still they are the Gumps. Bama runs Sabans O and D, simple as that. Time to let CBK prove that we’re running BK’s offense.

Our professional had his "process" undercut by young head coach Marcus Freeman.

You must be 12. There is something to be in your twilight years and being close to home.

I know it's hard for you because your life purpose is melting on message boards.

But people make life decisions that factor in other things than football.

Same reason Kim Mulkey would want to come to LSU for a complete rebuild.

Home is worth a lot the older you get.

U still going to say that when we field a top rated offense next year, the year after, and so on? This will truly be a test of was this CMD offense or is it CBK’s.

BTW Queenie, this isn’t a dick measuring contest. If Freeman and ND snaked our OC, that counts as zero wins on the field. All about the results. I was very much in the pro Freeman camp several years ago, but what has he really done?

Where did I say that being closer to home didn't play a factor in his decision?

Its the coaching industry. How many coach close to where they grew up? Spoiler, not many.

The man is in his 60's and a grandfather making millions at either place. At some point, you can't put a value on family. One day you will realize that.

and when someone in their “twilight” years of coaching gets offered a shite ton of money to coach closer to home they’ll probably take that opportunity retard

Denbrock doesn’t matter. There are going to be some growing pains with a new QB anyway. What matters is House. If he’s back you can go ahead and write next season off. LSU must have a competent defense to help give the offense time to gel. With House back, next season has disaster written all over it.

I certainly don't understand this. "Being near home" excuse seems like a coping mechanism for our fans.

The guys from Michigan and wants to go "home" to Indiana. Do you see that those don't add up. Also when your getting paid 1.5 million a year, "home" is a short private flight away anytime you want to go there.

One other thing is why was Denbrocks agent shopping him around. The Texas A&M interest wouldn't have been there if the agent didn't let them know he was a little interested in it.

It seems more likely Denbrock didn't want to work for BK anymore vs going "home" to Notre Dame.

This is a classic catastrophe syndrome melt.

Not everyone wants to jump on a damn jet just to wake up and drink their morning coffee where they feel like they belong.

It's really weird trust me I know. But some people legitimately love the North.

Idk why the hell that it is but I've seen it in real life. People like that frozen lifestyle and bland food.

I can't explain it but home is home.

Why wouldn’t other programs contact the OC of the nation’s top offense? There’s nothing sinister there. Denbrock has no control over who calls him.

South Bend is 155 miles from Michigan. Baton Rouge is 1100 miles from Michigan.

There is no conspiracy theory. 95% of the people on this board would do the same thing — take a high paying job for a better quality of life.

South Bend is right on the border with Michigan. Literally 15 minutes to the state. I live in Ann Arbor and I don’t think it is a 2 hour drive. It’s not that far to Chicago or Grand Rapids. It is a really pretty town and it is perfectly understandable why he would want to move back to retire there.
