The brand of basketball being played these days, even in the finals, is poor quality and extremely boring. Too much dribbling outside the 3 point arc and jacking up outside shots.

I agree Im not really a fan of the NBA but I watch the finals with some degree of interest at least.

Only included it for the rare years that LSU baseball tanks/misses in the postseason and the NBA finals outlasts our postseason run.

I'm okay with it honestly. No more opportunities to set myself up for disappointment for 2 months.

How can you be disappointed when you're a fan of every team?

I like it. This was a pretty stressful baseball season and football season is almost always stressful. It's nice to have a couple months to gain rational perspective of the world before drinking myself into a stupor and having irrational emotions regarding the outcome of a game played by college kids from September to December.

Yea...I'll be playing more golf until football starts so at least there's that.

I'm as big of a football fan as the next guy, but there's just something about Zach Watson hitting a single down the 3rd baseball line against Mississippi State that brings Deichmann home to tie up the game 3-3. Just hard to match that sort of excitement.

Yep. I definitely feel a void. It was hard to come down from the finality of that last loss. Can't wait for August 27 and watch the new crop come in

I do too.

I think the issue for me is this- I'm pretty busy with real life stuff, so I just casually follow the baseball team early on, just the scores and catch some games on radio. The team is still taking shape, and I know players from the previous year (like Lange, Kramer etc), and guys who are doing a lot (like Deichmann).

Don't REALLY follow it in-depth until the last couple of series in the regular season, maybe the last month. Around that time I know everybody in the lineup, top guys out of the pen and replacements in the field.

Come playoff time, I get pretty invested in the team, and just as I do, it ends.
If it were a MLB season, I'd be looking to see if Walker can come back this year, see if Deichmann can get the HRs going again, see if Slaughter becomes more confident at the plate (the way Paps did over the last half of the season), etc. I'm now interested... but it's gone.

At least we gained a couple weeks with the fantastic postseason run. And I'm hoping to get some glimpses of LF7 and Adams in preseason NFL.

We can also re-watch all the games and hash out all the strengths and weaknesses from last season, which have zero to do with this season! all is not lost.

I like the baseball season because I don't have to be stressed out during every single game like I do for football season. One bad game could mean the season is over. For baseball I can just sit back and watch the games and if they lose I know there will be another the next day and there is always time for a run. It allows for you to just enjoy the ride to the destination instead of always looking at the destination and one pothole ruins everything. Now Once the postseason in baseball shows up that goes away and it is football season stressful again.

All you "No life outside LSU Sports" Pump Lumps need to seriously get a life.

Get some hobbies.....Join a Gym.....Find a Girlfriend.....Go to NOLA/Ms Gulf Coast/Gulf Shores-Orange Beach/Florida Panhandle on the weekends.....Attend a Festival or Concert somewhere.....

I feel sorry for those that have nothing else going on. There's more to life than LSU and LSU Athletics.

All right, boss

You realize many of us do all that during seasons, too?

I usually still miss LSU Football until early June, even when other things are going on. It's ok to like sports.

I love college baseball - the pace, strategy, ebb-n-flow of the season. College baseball may be the last great team sport. We are blessed to be Tiger fans!
