I think we are a lock now as long as we don't que in Hoover.

We win one of the next 2 and have a decent showing in Hoover, I don't see a natnl seed as a long shot. Especially with a little help...

Id be prepared to use Lange in relief in game 3 if needed only if we win the conclusion of game 1. A sweep and we're in consideration for a national seed

I have no doubt he wants to pitch. But now that we took a game, you will not see alex till the sec tournament

Why would you burn Lange at this point?

You said screw the rest of the season which makes no sense. If you threw Lange a couple innings he could easily throw again Thursday or Friday if need be. We need this series more than the SEC tourney.I will never understand the theory behind not letting a guy who has thrown 30 pitches throw again until the following week.

It does if you have a brain and realize how regimented pitchers are.

Lange will not see the mound till hoover

So you think throwing a maximum of 50 pitches will be detrimental to his health for the rest of the year?

It's not the number of game pitches. It's the warmup pre game, the warm ups before all three innings, the 39 (not 30) pitches he threw, and the arm will definitely need to recover from that.

I'm not convinced SEC gets 4 hosts and no way we are top 3 in the league. We are a huge huge outside shot. We would have to completely win out for a chance IMO.

Lange can be a slow starter. He's not used to ramping it up in relief for a short stint, and we would probably only use him in high-leverage or to close in Game 3 if Newman is used up in Game 2.

I think you pass on using Lange tomorrow.

But he would NOT pitch till like wed. Plenty of rest... The game will resume in the third... He can go 4 innings and LSU may by then get 2-3 runs... I say Pitch HIM... You are playing #1... A sweep would be HUGE for LSU no matter what they do in the SEC tourney...............

I'm not saying he's the first option out of the pen, but I'm not taking him completely off the table if I'm CPM

Yea the arm def needs recovery for those extra 9 throws. I don't think he will pitch at all but throwing him would not hurt anything. It's done all the time in college and pro ball.

SEC is getting 4 and its between us and South Carolina. Florida state and nc state had a chance, but I think they needed a sweep.

I'm not worried about his recovery between tomorrow and Wednesday. I'm talking about his recovery from last night till tomorrow, peej. It's a real thing.
