and they may have a point. problem is, you can only tell in hindsight.

from my perspective, watching the auburn game, I saw the whole team in disarray. unorganized, unfocused, unenthusiastic, (with exceptions, of course), but overall, it was really bad.

so, it's done and that's it. let's move on.

I'm not worried about finding a new HC today. I'm thinking about Mizzou.

I hope coach orgeron says something like this today, after the obligatory claptrap about honor and thanks - i'm going to find out how many athletes on this team are interested in playing football for the next 8 games.

correct. plus, no telling what would have happened during the season. miles could have lost the team and we sunk to new lows. that would have severely affected recruiting. also, maybe the team showed some life and we ended up 9-3; that would have caused another big brahu.

this is the best thing for all. LSU is in a win/win. if O does good it will prove we needed a change, if O is so-so it will not be any worse than miles would have done.

If for no other reason, it was right so we can get the jump on other schools who will soon be looking. No intelligent person thinks we should have waited.
