I hate jarrett lee as a QB but even i was calling for happy feet lastnight. Who honestly thinks LSU would have come back if we would have replaced JJ with JL? I'd give it a 1 percent chance but after 3 quarters and 2 first downs!!! 1 percent is enough for me. IN OTHER WORDS IT WASN'T HAPPENING!

P.S I wish somebody would have told Lee to take his helmet off on the sideline if he was not going in the damn game...embarrassing

I can see the CLM's logic for not putting JL in; however, in the fourth when it was obvious even the coaches quit, I'd have let him take a few snaps just because he's a senior. How much worse could it have been?

If you throw a long ball, even an interception is like a punt (how many of those did we have?). Lee can throw, right? Our receivers can catch, right? We had a shot but it had to be early in 3rd Q.

Miles was defeated and Saban made his arse quit. That's why Miles ran clock in the 4th Quarter to get the game over ASAP.

Why wouldn't JL have been a better option? That would be because Miles made the decision long ago that JJ was the man and that JL would never see the field again unless JJ came out in a stretcher. JJ got all the reps in practice.

Miles made his own bed with this QB situation. LSU has had this QB situation for YEARS and Miles never solved the problem. Miles lacked the capacity to solve the problem.

How can anybody trust Miles to solve the NEXT football problem facing LSU? Miles better get the frick away from the offense and hire an OC with a clue. Be a CEO, recruit and be the public face of the program. Stay the frick away from the offense, Miles.

JL would not have won the game for LSU last night because once JJ was back, JJ got the reps in practice.

Miles put all of his money on #9 and rolled snake eyes.

Considering he has a much better and quicker release he couldn't have done much worse running those screens. Also has the vision and arm to throw down field. Jefferson missed a wide open wr streaking down the middle which would have been a TD when he locked on to OBJ instead. That would have changed the game and fired the team back up. Randle was open a few times and he couldnt make his reads. Yes the offensive line was bad last night but the play calling allowed it to stay the same. I would have brought Lee in and placed him in a shotgun formation and let our Wrs make plays. At least let Jefferson sit awhile. No we watched him frick up all game long and stay in the game while Lee got the knife in the back. So glad Jefferson is gone.... I'll never have to watch that sorry excuse of a QB ever again. He was always selfish and threw his team under the bus. Always pouted and had the huge ego like he was someone. I bet the team quit playing for him last night.

If I had to watch him throw the game while I was playing my arse off I would let the hammer drop on him. He deserved it

I dont think he would have done much better. Just would have been nice to shake things up and at least give it a shot.

Lee has been there before and saved the team from a disasterous performance by JJ so why couldnt he do it last night? It COULD have happened. We would have been forced to throw or give some of those 14 JJ carries to REAL RB's. Id say 30% chance if you started Lee in the 3rd qtr that LSU would have won.. 10% chance if you started him in the 4th qtr down 12-0.

Bottom line LSU had ZERO chance of beating bama with JJ so why not put him in?

You have no idea what Lee would and would not have done. The very few times JJ actually threw the ball down field, a WR was open. And then we ran it 15 straight times. I guess we wanted to win time of possession.

It would not have been the first time Lee saved the team's arse after a JJ-led offense was completely inept. I do believe he did it 3 or 4 times last year. No reason to not at least try and see what happens.

it was not an accident that we had the players on the field that we did, and not an accident that we ran the plays we did. it's not an accident that we were still running the still lame plays at the end of the game that we ran at the beginning. we just have to take the good with the bad. we overcame our qb for a 13-0 season. and maybe had to overcome a little less coaching than alabama offered up when the whole season was on the line. there's always next year, unless maybe jerry jones didn't watch the game.

Should have gone to no huddle 2 minute type offense after the 2nd series (3rd series at last) and moved the freaking football.

Even Saban said today that we had receivers open down the field a few times and that our qb couldnt see them. Maybe Lee could have, but thats just it ,we will never know.

You right i don't but with 1 TD and 7 int's against bama in his career it seems like history knows.

The kid throws 2 picks in one game, yet everyone forgets who got us to the promise land to begin with. LSU nation is a fickle bunch unfortunately - myself included.

JL is par for the course, but when you are triple bogeying every freaking hole, it's time for a change. Les probably didn't want to be undermined. I would've loved to be on the headset listening in lol I'll bet ol' Les was fuming with zero answers.

putting in Lee at any point in the 2nd half couldn't have had any worse of an impact than leaving Jefferson in the entire time despite his poor performance, poor attitude, and abundant miscues.

Irrelevant now. They're both gone. We lost. Bama is BCS Nat'l Champ.

Let's hope Les can pick one QB next year and stick with him. Let Randall and Rivers learn the ropes and give Mettenberger a chance.

What has Lee done to deserve your hatred? The kid has done everything that was asked of him and he was a huge reason we started the season like we did. Do I think he would have lead us to a victory against Bama? Probably not, but could it have been any worse? Jarrett Lee, like him or hate him, deserved an opportunity to play.

This. The guy has shown his loyalty, and kept his nose clean. He's progessed since the freshman campaign, and his improvements are marked with virtories.
