I hate that the non conference win streak was snapped

Last regular season, non conference loss being week 1 of 2002, at Virginia Tech.
That was incredible and demonstrated LSU's consistent success really since 2001. But it's gone, to an unranked, almost 10 point dog.

Yes but maybe it's a good thing. And yes it was snapped against a team that wanted to snap that streak really bad and was playing for their state and all kinds of pride while LSU sent the practice swuad

That streak was always cool to have. But now that we've lost it, I'm still mainly just glad it wasn't a conference game.

Its a good thing. One less silly stat that Les can hang his hat on.

I had forgot about that streak. Oh well.

The ghosts of Lambeau were not letting us win that game.

That was never a big deal for me. I only remember a few of the non-conference wins being somewhat meaningful. We had the 2011 Oregon win, the 2007 VT beatdown, and pulling our asses out of the fire against Wisconsin. Otherwise, the rest were nothing major. The TCU win turned out to be against a bad TCU team (they were 4-8 that year). WVU was rebuilding when we beat them up in Morgantown. The same goes with both Washington victories. For the most part, the vast majority of those victories were against rent-a-wins or middling (or worse) teams from the major conferences.
