Say what you want about Verne(he annoys the crap out of me) but I view Danielson as one of the best color commentators in the business.

I'm pretty sure they have alot of Lee with the pick six sound bites as well. 4 to be exact.

The TV timeouts suck. Does anyone know whether CBS delays the game more than other networks? It sure seems that way.

Are you serious, according to him every decision a coach makes is stupid and he could do it so much better. It just gets old listening to him second guess every decision. I noticed he even took some shots at Miles' decision to play Dorsey in last year's game again this year.

Off screen, Danielson is an attention whore.
Last year when CBS was out at LSU at 5:00 a.m., some lady had her baby decked out in LSU clothes. Danielson took that kid in his arms for TV ratings.

it takes an hour per quarter. Im just glad ESPN will be in charge of SEC coverage soon.

You're right. Danielson IS one of the best in the business. He seems to be the only analyst who can explain what's going on in the part of the field fans watching television can't see. Also, I love how he promotes the SEC to all his former colleagues at ABC/ESPN.

I know its his job, it is just SO fricking irritating to hear him second guess every decision Miles makes (he clearly does not like him) and he really does try to WILL the losing team back into the game.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. Gary does a great job of describing formations and why things worked or didn't work. He also does a great job of explaining penalties and what happened in areas of the field you can't see on TV. Yes, he has an arrogant tone and he says some odd things when he gets off subject. But he's still one of the best color commentators in terms of giving the viewer information about each play.
